Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Le jeu du scam. Et il ne s'en cache même pas : - "Dead by" pour "Dead by daylight" - "Backrooms"... ?

It's bad.
Dead by Backrooms Anomaly is a compact psychological horror experience developed and published by DarkRook Interactive that draws inspiration from the familiar Backrooms mythos while attempting to carve out its own identity through narrative framing and puzzle-driven exploration. Rather than leaning purely on endless liminal corridors as an abstract horror backdrop, the game places the player into a more directed journey, one that blends unsettling atmosphere, light puzzle-solving, and moments of darkly surreal humor. The result is a short but distinctive experience that prioritizes mood and curiosity over traditional horror mechanics or sustained tension. The game is presented from a first-person perspective and follows a female protagonist whose situation and motivations are intentionally obscured at the outset. Storytelling unfolds indirectly, relying on environmental clues, strange visual compositions, and fragmented interactions rather than explicit exposition. This approach aligns well with the dreamlike logic of the Backrooms concept, where places feel familiar yet fundamentally wrong. The environments often resemble distorted versions of offices, hallways, and interior spaces, arranged in ways that subtly undermine the player’s sense of orientation. This sense of dislocation becomes one of the game’s primary narrative tools, encouraging players to question what is real, imagined, or symbolic as they progress. Gameplay focuses almost entirely on exploration and light puzzle interaction. There is no emphasis on combat or resource management; instead, tension is generated through atmosphere, sound design, and the anticipation of unseen threats. Puzzles tend to be straightforward but effective, requiring players to pay attention to their surroundings and interact with objects in a logical sequence. These challenges serve more as pacing devices than intellectual roadblocks, slowing the player just enough to heighten unease while also advancing the narrative. Because the game avoids punishing failure states, it remains accessible, allowing players to focus on immersion rather than mechanical mastery. Visually, Dead by Backrooms Anomaly adopts a restrained, utilitarian aesthetic. Textures and models are simple, but the deliberate use of lighting, repetition, and empty space gives the environments an unsettling character. Flickering lights, long stretches of silence, and subtle ambient noises do much of the heavy lifting when it comes to creating tension. Sound design plays a particularly important role, with distant echoes, low hums, and sudden audio cues reinforcing the sense that the player is never truly alone, even when nothing is visible. Rather than relying heavily on jump scares, the game favors psychological discomfort, letting unease build gradually through sensory cues. One of the more unusual aspects of the experience is its tonal balance. Alongside moments of genuine unease, the game occasionally introduces elements of dark or absurd humor, creating an off-kilter mood that can catch players off guard. This contrast can either enhance immersion or break it, depending on player expectations. For some, the humor adds personality and prevents the experience from becoming monotonous or overly bleak. For others, it may feel at odds with the horror elements, diluting tension at key moments. This tonal ambiguity is a defining characteristic of the game and contributes to its divisive reception. In terms of scope, Dead by Backrooms Anomaly is intentionally brief. A full playthrough typically lasts around an hour, making it more akin to a short interactive horror vignette than a full-length game. This limited runtime works in its favor by keeping the experience focused and preventing its mechanics from overstaying their welcome. However, it also means that players looking for depth, replayability, or branching outcomes may come away feeling unsatisfied. Steam achievements offer minor incentives for thorough exploration, but the game is largely a one-and-done experience. Overall, Dead by Backrooms Anomaly is best viewed as an experimental indie horror project rather than a definitive take on the Backrooms concept. Its strengths lie in atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and a willingness to blend horror with surreal, occasionally humorous elements. While it lacks the polish, complexity, and longevity of larger horror titles, it succeeds in delivering a memorable, unsettling journey within a very tight scope. For players who enjoy short psychological horror experiences and are curious about unconventional interpretations of internet horror mythology, it offers a strange and intriguing descent into liminal unease.
