Danger Room is a short and frenetic VR game. Players will have to master their reflexes and skills to reach the goal: try to collect as many knowledge balls as possible, while avoiding the multiple traps awaiting you.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

"Danger Room VR" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Polytechnical University of Catalonia in Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This ancient VR tech demo student project was made in 2017, it's 8 years old. It looked old and busted then... today? Man, Steam Games should have a "Best Before" date on them. In this tech demo, you're in a room, you shoot stuff, grab balls, play a little slot machine thing to get upgrades, play a little VR breakout minigame, kill an octopus. All so you can collect 9 balls so some virtual confetti falls down. It's a little garbled... a Fischer-Price activity set for VR experimenters... and not much of substance for serious gamers. The graphics are lame low poly stuff, no points awarded for visuals, the most important aspect of any game. And the laser sound effect sounds like it was ripped off from Star Wars. Here's some trivia, you know how the foley guys make that sound? They get a big, really long length of steel rod/round bar and they drop it. The sound carries across the length of the rod which gives it that echo-ey sound. Anyway, back to this student tech demo from last decade... it only had 12 concurrent players, and that only happened once. If it's not good enough for the 120 million gamers on Steam, it's not good enough for you.

The game gets boring really fast and the gun shoots on a set schedule. Wouldn't recommend unless you want a quick play session. Also, the game takes up an entire gigabyte of space even though it seems like it only takes up like 200 megabytes.
Stupidly confusing.
