Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

My expectations going into Danganronpa were that I was heading into an murder-mystery experience disproportionally overhyped by extremely loud, obnoxious, terminally online fans. I was intrigued at the beginning, satisfied by the first chapter and blown away by end of the second chapter. A murder mystery game that dishes out twists and turns through cheeky, dazzling dialogue. Mechanically solid, in spite of how "janky" it feels to play a Nintendo DS game through a mouse and keyboard. The dialogue and characters marvelously stand out. In a way that would make a great writer blush. The themes of the game slowly unravel, delivering a fantastic ending that leaves you wanting more. All while playing with your (the players) heart like a senior harpist. I entered the game planted with a seed of despair, only to end blooming a flower of hope. Play this video game, for there is none other like it.
