A Well-Crafted Horror Game with Solid Atmosphere "Cursed Loop" offers a chilling horror experience that stands out for its unexpected scares. From the moment you start playing, the game pulls you in with its eerie visuals and sound design, building a sense of unease that keeps you on edge throughout. The pacing is well-balanced, with just enough quiet moments to let your guard down before hitting you with perfectly timed jumpscares. Visuals and Performance: The game looks great. It runs smoothly with no major performance issues, which is key in maintaining the tension without distractions. Gameplay and Mechanics: The controls are intuitive and responsive, making it easy to navigate the creepy environments. The game doesn't rely solely on jump scares; instead, it builds a sense of dread with a carefully crafted atmosphere. The subtle scares are just as effective as the bigger ones, keeping you constantly alert. Atmosphere: One of the game's strongest points is its atmosphere. The sound design, in particular, enhances the experience, with haunting background noises and sudden audio cues that make the world feel alive and dangerous. Whether it’s the creak of a door or an eerie whisper, the attention to detail in the sound creates an immersive, tension-filled environment. Final Thoughts: While it doesn’t reinvent the horror genre, "Cursed Loop" nails the essentials. With smooth gameplay, great visuals, and a genuinely creepy atmosphere, it's definitely worth a play for horror fans. If you're looking for a solid, scare-filled experience, this one is for you. Cursed Loop has some well-placed scares. The scares throughout the whole game are good and plentiful, although not all of them are super scary. I noticed a good balance between them, and I think it works well the way it's done, nice work! For the atmosphere, it's pretty well done, however at times it lacks some ambience or that "feeling of being watched", but for the most part, it did a really good job at setting the atmosphere. There's a very well crafted and consistent theme all throughout the game, personally a really big fan of the theme so I might be a bit biased on this point. Lol https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3325325329 Before you buy it, just know that it's a big maze game, and everything pretty much revolves around that — so if you specifically don't like mazes, maybe it's best to avoid for you. The game essentially wants to keep you on "edge" and it executed that in a good way. By the end of the game, I noticed how I had been thinking very hard about where to go next, where I had already been, basically just managing sense of location all the time. This is also what the game wants you to do, and requires you to, in order to complete it, well done! Happy I got to play this, enjoyed it and even though there might not be a high amount of replay-value, I could see myself going back just to do some more exploration in this realm of a beautiful dark nightmare. Also, the performance of Cursed Loop is really good, it runs smooth like butter with plenty of frames.. Very nice work all in all. Oyun boyunca korkutmalar iyi ayarlanmış ve bol, ancak hepsi aşırı korkutucu değil. Aralarında iyi bir denge olduğunu fark ettim ve bence bu şekilde gayet iyi işliyor, güzel iş! Kesin deneyin.
This game sadly doesn't offer anything inventive or imaginative. All you do is navigate a maze of corridors and find keys. Unlock a room to find a key that will unlock another room to find another key that will unlock another room....and so on and so forth. The game is peppered with pointless jump scares, and a very vague and loose narrative about some mysterious family of great wealth and power that befell some dark tragedy. The only remotely interesting mechanic is that you may stumble inadvertently into some dead ends (or "traps" as the game calls them), which resets you to the last save point (the game autosaves, instead of allowing the user to save at will). Honestly, this game isn't even worth the 99 cents I paid for it.
The Game Is Actually Fantastic. The Mansion Is A Maze And You Need To Use Your Memory To Find A Way Out. The Scares Were "Cheap" In A Sense But I Still Enjoyed Them. My Only Criticism Is At The Last Stage, I Fell Into A Trap That Reset To The Last Save Point. It Only Autosaves, No Manual Saves. I Felt Like The Last Stage Was Too Harsh Because It Has Multiple Layers And 1 Wrong Move, I Had To Restart Again. There Should Have Been Some Mini Save Points In The Last Stage. Anyways, The Game Is Enjoyable And Fun. I Recommend This Game! My Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNXzXXgyIOI
O jogo me cansou e me fez simplesmente desistir. Cursed Loop é uma experiência que promete, mas não entrega.
beklediğimden güzel çıktı ara ara ciddi korkutan ama sürekli bir geren havası var bence deneyin pişman olmazsınız.
This game is a repetitive "loop" of looking for a key in one room, finding the door it unlocks, looking for another key, and so on, so on. There is no variety of puzzles, and the jump scares are definitely on the "cheap" side. There is no real atmosphere to this game, and I wouldn't quite recommend it to others who are looking to enjoy a solid horror playthrough. I hope the developer is able to fine tune their next projects to add more variety and tension, but this one is just not it.
