About
Mortimer Sadbag and Moory the Pirate were hired to investigate strange disappearances in the remote mountain town of Cliffside. Journey with them on a humorous adventure to the once cozy town and beyond, trekking through dungeons and fighting monsters, to meet the foe responsible.
Mortimer is a businessman, author, and 'master negotiator' with years of experience working odd jobs, and Moory is a brutish pirate who's always drunk and looking for a fight. With the two together, every encounter becomes a question of negotiate or fight! Each boss comes with a choice to battle or come to some kind of agreement.
Mortimer is a summoner who can call ghosts to fight for him, and Moory is a pirate who drinks scrumpy to power up. Additionally, you will meet even more NPCs and optional party members with their own quirks.
Curse of the Ethereal Dragon is a linear JRPG with turn-based battles and plenty of overworld puzzles and action sequences.
There a four dungeons full of unique monsters, and treasure with powerful effects.
New skills are learned by equipping items instead of leveling up, allowing for freedom of choice and flexible roles of all your party members.
The full playtime can last 6 to 8 hours depending on play style.
Secrets are hidden around every corner for players willing to search for them.
All of the sprites, character art, attack animations, and most of the music, is hand drawn.
