A religious kind of novel which is kind of boring to read with.
This was my very first steam game played on my PC back in 2023, so naturally, it had to be my first game review. This piece of art being free was such a privilege to younger me because I never had a steam budget to spend growing up. The first time starting the game, seeing the artwork on the main screen, and listening to the opening score, "Tea Leaf Melancholy," it all immediately immersed me into the world and genuinely altered my brain chemistry. The story beginning with the affects of a cruel mother's words and actions that affects her daughter's ability to live, even *after* the mother has been gone (presumably dead) for a very long time made me feel truly seen and felt playing this game for very personal reasons. The character, Catherine, being a child protégé with the piano, reflected another core part of me: I too am a pianist. Her personality, charm, wit, and fashion sense all reflected core aspects of my own identity - I felt seen through her during a very isolated part of my life. Then there was the obviously very handsome Guillaume, a brooding, yet seemingly kind gentleman who takes on the two young girls to "help" their fortunes. ..I won't say too much on the plot, please, play it for yourself. Thank you to the developers for making this happen and inspiring me so much. Cupid has such a permanently dear place in my heart, and will forever rank in my "favorite games" lists.
Welcome to Cupid
A free to play visual novel with good art and UI design. The story is definitely more suitable for a mature audience. The achievements are kind of annoying to complete, but nonetheless, it’s worth it. Thank you, devs!
Pros: Free to play ✅ Short and accessible visual novel ⏱️ Simple branching choices Calm, no-stress experience Achievements are easy and clearly structured 🎯 Negative: Requires multiple playthroughs to unlock all achievements Very limited replay value once everything is completed Minimal story and gameplay depth 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: All achievements can be unlocked in about 1 hour. Multiple playthroughs are required due to branching paths, but each run is very short, making completion fast and smooth. Overall: A small, free visual novel that’s quick to experience and enjoyable for a short session. Ideal for achievement hunters or anyone looking for a light story.

Absolute masterpiece I am astonished at this is free. And I love the Queer representation it felt really natural. I love all the characters! Everyone had a huge part in this story it didn't feel like we had a main character because everyone was so important
Pretty interesting, the horror aspect kind of jump scared me, unfortunately i ran into a bug, it looks like a scripting bug based on the text. "an exception has occurred" I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While processing text tag {=iloveu} in u'{=iloveu}I love you{/iloveu}'.: ^so def keep this in mind, if you decide to take a gander at this VN ^ you will most likely run into a bug as well, although i do find the story pretty engaging and interesting. I'm intrigued by the horror/ thriller but cupid idea
