I remember playing this game on my parents' old, dying Dell Latitude D630 running Windows Vista. I was always on the lookout for free games. This game... is kinda incredible, especially considering the development studio, Unreal Software, is actually run by just one person: Peter Schauss. It’s truly admirable, [i]unlike[/i] modern studios, this guy has been updating his game for over 20 years. What started as a simple 2D clone of Counter-Strike 1.6 has evolved so much, featuring things you’d never find in CS2. Back then, this one was huge there were RP servers, campaigns, puzzle maps, prison escape modes, and tournaments with cash prizes. The construction mode and zombie modes are so fun to play, the flamethrowers and grenade battles are awesome, and the map editor is so easy to use (it uses Lua scripting, which reminded me of Roblox Studio... ). It's really sad that the game has sort of had its day not many people play it anymore but it remains a nice childhood memory. If you like Counter-Strike games, you should give this one a try too. I don't need to tell you whether or not to buy it, since it's free anyway ! So go check it out.
