It's a queer, slow burn, coffee shop AU like what's not to love!!!!!

Cryptid Coffeehouse is a very casual, slice-of-life game about living in the American Midwest, meeting new people, and developing feelings for someone. It's a game about relationships and the importance of consent, permission, and respect in those relationships, especially relationships that are between stages. And, as corny as it sounds, it's a game about being yourself.
Content warnings: swearing, mentions of recreational alcohol & marijuana consumption, sexual tension, and a lot of kissing ;)

I am in love with this game. I've got to say as far as dating sims goes this is pretty high on the totem pole. It's cute and sweet and genuinely agonizingly slow -- which works because it's a slow burn. I always wanted to have my own meet cute moment and thanks to this game, I can just perfectly curate it to the Moth of my dreams. Things I loved: Artemis, Odina, Mordag. Taz, Bruilkea. jaxeon. Even Kurou and Kolia [/although to be honest it kind of felt like a disconnect with less interactions] The dialogue felt real and funny. The times we spend with Artemis are amazing. It feels effortless and I actually felt real time shy as I furthered the story along. The player never feels like they are just picking a choice to appeal to Artemis, I mean we all want to appeal to the Moth, but it isn't like forcing our backs against the wall and making us pick something that ultimately feels like you're missing out on another choice or something you aren't cool with. Things I thought about: The music is chill, kind of wished we heard more of [/the band music]- at least when there were scenes for it to play - it would have been a more immersive element. I kind of wish there was a [/moment where you see the art print, if you picked that as a choice, if onl;y to see how much that Moth liked you] I kind of wish we had pictures of [/Artemis, Diana and/or their family in general] I wish we knew more about Kurou and Kolina and we vaguely if anything get something involving Mordag - but it wasn't satisfying enough. I get it, we're there to learn about Artemis and that's fine. But it also feels a little incomplete without Artemis kind of getting to know us. or really us having other one on ones with these other characters. Maybe that just means that we get possibly another game involving the same set of cryptids or others within the universe. I hope this doesn't sounds like complaining. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GAME. IT'S A FAVORITE AND ADORABLE AND I WILL STAN THIS MANIC PIXIE DREAM MOTH TILL I DIE. I just had general thoughts that I felt like expressing. I wish there was like a part two. I didn't want the game ending. I never wanted it to stop honestly. It's sweet and awkward and funny and terribly perfect.
Loved it from start to finish, but now I just want to have the option to date the rest of the band members on theyr own route. Hope to see more of your work in the future
Cryptid coffeehouse is such a cute and well made game! i love how well written the story is, im a big fan of the original concept and diverse cast! it was great to see more character types than other games :) the music was also so good!! highly recommend
Artemis wins the best mothman award <333
Super cute and comfy game, lovable characters, and a great storyline<3 Cryptid Coffeehouse has about 4-5 hours of gameplay and is definitely worth the purchase.
cute and wholesome
After playing the game from start to finish, I can finally write out a thorough review for it. I love how sickeningly sweet Artemis is and how much of a sweetheart they are! I played the 2.0 version on itch.io and I loved it. Now that the game is completed in full, I was able to understand Artemis better. My standards have now raised and if I don't find me a partner as sweet as them, I am going to scream!! Can't wait to see what other games is put out! :)
