Great old Resident Evil type game. Very interesting story and characters, the most you play the more you learn about them especially the protagonist. Some puzzles might take a while to figure out and you may have to do some back tracking. Weapons are easy to use but you need to conserve your ammo. Personally I hope to see a sequel of this game since the story talks a bit about the future maybe it won't be the same characters but still would be interesting. If your a Resident Evil fan or enjoy survival horror I recommend this game.
Short, sweet, has a lot of heart. A few annoying moments but overall a 9/10 game
It's a great game for those that have an itch for a 90's inspired survival horror game. I will say though that some of the puzzles where somewhat misleading and I had to look for the answers. Other than that I recommend it.
Crow Country is the perfect blend of mechanics and stylistic choices from other games and the end result is probably what I would call the "Best" entry level Survival Horror game. It gets is aesthetic from the original clunky graphics of FF7, its gameplay from Resident Evil and its puzzles from Silent Hill. Mashing these things together it creates a wholly unique Survival Horror experience that brings a truly unique and interesting story to the table. In a genre filled with evil masterminds, barbaric super mutants, cult leaders and all sorts of supernatural phenomenon, Crow Country takes a rather unique approach in humanizing the monsters and the villains in ways that give the game an extremely cozy feeling despite the grotesque horror surrounding them. By the end of the game I genuinely cared about the main character "Mara" and the side characters all wound up playing vital roles in the overarching plot which was fun to put together from scattered notes and context clues. And even if you can't quite grasp it all, the final major dialogue sequences make sure to tie everything together for you. If there is any one criticism you could level at the game, it is that it is pretty easy; the shooting mechanics become smooth once you get used to them, the items are actually plentiful and the game makes sure you always have means of acquiring more ammo and healing items, and there are built in hints to help you get by even if you're getting stuck on some of the puzzles. But even this minor criticism can be seen as a plus considering this makes it more accessible to those trying to break into the genre without compromising what the genre is about. If you're a fan of the genre or interested in getting into Survival Horror, this one is a must-play. Crow Country shares a lot of similarities with the games that inspired it, but there is truly no game like Crow Country itself.
If you're a fan of Resident Evil then do yourself a favor and play this game. Fantastic visuals, fun puzzles (although a few of them are tough) and interesting story. A must play!
