A beautiful city builder with a fun combat system. Has great chain logistics gameplay kinda like The Settlers games. Just an all out great game. Don't hesitate to purchase
The first second I started playing this game, I was hooked. I ended up playing for almost 20 hours straight and genuinely couldn’t stop. I absolutely love the game, especially the building system. The vertical building in particular is an absolute blast and adds so much freedom to how you can design and expand your settlement. That said, I think the game could shine even more with a bit more variety in the world. I’d love to see resources spread across multiple islands, giving you a reason to explore and expand rather than having everything available on one island. It would also be awesome to have a real rival maybe another pirate or faction competing with you instead of mainly relying on Crown raids or even multiplayer in far future. Overall, though, I’m having an incredible time with it. The building alone is so satisfying that I completely lost track of time. Definitely a game I can see myself sinking many more hours into.
Das Aufbau-Priatenspiel meiner Träume
Only played for a relatively short amount of time, but, so far so good : )
It instantly became one of my favorite city builders. The visuals do a lot of heavy lifting in the game and make expanding my pirate haven a reward in itself as my spaghetti of ziplines came together. It's fairly well optimized as well. There are some drawbacks though. The turn-based naval combat is serviceable at best, and my citizens don't always take the quickest path, but it didn't bother me that much. A more frustrating thing is ship upgrades. The crew of your upgraded vessel needs specific resources, but the buildings that provide those resources are only unlocked after upgrading your vessel, which creates a bit of downtime. All in all an enjoyable experience. There is some replayability in that you unlock additional base islands after completing the campaign, but by then I felt that I had gotten my money's worth.
It's good. 8/10 Definitely scratches the itch you might otherwise have from for example Anno, Manor lords, Oxygen Not included, Timberborn, or other logistics/city-building games.
