Very boring game :( pacing is glacial.
This was one of my first games on steam so seeing it delisted makes me emotional.. it will forever remain a hidden gem
Horrible. Debería haber una opción de "Skip the whole game", mostrara los créditos y desinstalara el juego. Por suerte ya no lo venden...

CONSORTIUM is one of the most ambitious and unconventional science-fiction RPGs released in the indie gaming scene, blending immersive simulation mechanics, nonlinear storytelling, philosophical themes, and first-person roleplaying into an experience that feels genuinely experimental. Developed and published by Interdimensional Games Inc., the game places players aboard a futuristic aircraft called the Zenlil in the year 2042, where they suddenly awaken inside the body of Consortium officer Bishop Six. Instead of treating the player as a standard protagonist, the narrative openly acknowledges the existence of the player as an outside consciousness inhabiting another human being. This unusual premise immediately gives the game a distinct identity and creates a constant feeling of psychological uncertainty throughout the entire experience. The setting itself is one of the game’s strongest aspects. Humanity has supposedly moved beyond many of the political and environmental disasters of the modern era, with a global peacekeeping organization known as the Consortium replacing traditional militaries and attempting to maintain worldwide stability. However, beneath the appearance of peace and order lies a network of political tension, hidden agendas, personal conflicts, and growing paranoia. Players quickly discover that life aboard the Zenlil is far more unstable than it initially appears, especially once murder investigations, conspiracies, and conflicting loyalties begin emerging among the crew. One of the most impressive qualities of CONSORTIUM is its commitment to player freedom. The game constantly encourages roleplaying through dialogue choices, social interactions, investigation systems, and moral decisions that genuinely alter how events unfold. Conversations are not simple cosmetic choices leading to identical outcomes but meaningful interactions that affect relationships, trust levels, and future narrative developments. Players can behave diplomatically, aggressively, sarcastically, deceptively, or passively depending on how they want to shape Bishop Six’s personality. The dialogue system remains one of the most interesting elements of the game. Conversations happen naturally during gameplay without constantly pulling players into cinematic cutscenes, helping maintain immersion aboard the Zenlil. Crew members react dynamically to player decisions and behavior, often remembering previous interactions and adjusting their attitudes accordingly. Even casual comments can influence later situations, making social interactions feel surprisingly important. The game consistently rewards careful observation and thoughtful communication rather than brute force. Despite taking place almost entirely within a single aircraft, the Zenlil feels remarkably alive due to the amount of detail dedicated to its crew and internal politics. Every character aboard the ship possesses personal motivations, emotional conflicts, suspicions, and hidden agendas that slowly reveal themselves through conversation and investigation. The confined setting actually strengthens the narrative because the aircraft gradually transforms into a believable social environment filled with tension and uncertainty. The murder mystery driving the central plot provides strong narrative momentum, but the game’s greatest strengths come from its atmosphere and philosophical themes rather than dramatic twists alone. CONSORTIUM constantly explores ideas surrounding identity, morality, authority, surveillance, intervention, and the ethics of manipulating another world. Since the player technically exists as an external observer possessing another human being, the story repeatedly questions whether changing events within this universe is morally acceptable or dangerously irresponsible. World-building is also surprisingly deep considering the game’s relatively modest scale and budget. Through dialogue, computer terminals, news articles, environmental details, and optional conversations, the game slowly constructs a future society that feels politically complicated and morally ambiguous. The Consortium itself initially appears idealistic, but deeper investigation reveals contradictions and hidden tensions beneath its utopian image. The world consistently feels larger than the immediate environment visible aboard the Zenlil. Combat exists but intentionally takes a secondary role compared to dialogue and investigation. Players can use lethal force, non-lethal weapons, avoid violence entirely, or attempt peaceful resolutions depending on how situations develop. This flexibility strongly reinforces the immersive simulation design philosophy because the game constantly encourages players to think like real people navigating dangerous social situations rather than traditional action heroes. The voice acting deserves praise as well. Since the majority of the experience revolves around conversations and interpersonal tension, believable performances are essential. The cast generally delivers natural and emotionally grounded performances that help sell the game’s unusual premise and philosophical tone. Characters feel like actual individuals rather than simple quest-givers or exposition devices. Visually, CONSORTIUM clearly shows both its ambition and its independent development limitations. The futuristic architecture, holographic technology, and aircraft interiors create a strong science-fiction atmosphere, but the aging Source Engine technology occasionally struggles with stiff animations and less detailed character models. However, the strong environmental design and immersive atmosphere compensate for many technical shortcomings. The soundtrack also contributes significantly to the experience. Ambient music and atmospheric audio create a constant feeling of mystery, isolation, and subtle tension throughout the game. Combined with environmental sounds aboard the aircraft, the audio presentation helps maintain immersion during slower investigative sections and philosophical conversations. One of the game’s most admirable qualities is how boldly experimental it feels. CONSORTIUM clearly draws inspiration from classic immersive sims like Deus Ex and System Shock while still pursuing a highly unique identity centered around fourth-wall-breaking roleplay and player-driven storytelling. Very few RPGs attempt this level of narrative interactivity and philosophical experimentation, especially within a first-person science-fiction framework. However, the game is not without flaws. Technical roughness is one of the most noticeable issues throughout the experience. Occasional bugs, awkward animations, unstable AI behavior, and clunky interactions sometimes interrupt immersion during important moments. Although updates improved many problems over time, traces of the game’s limited budget remain visible. Combat mechanics also feel noticeably weaker than the dialogue and narrative systems. Shooting and movement can occasionally feel stiff or outdated, particularly during action-heavy sequences. Fortunately, combat remains relatively uncommon and never becomes the primary focus of the experience. Pacing may also divide players. Since CONSORTIUM emphasizes investigation, conversation, and slow-burn narrative development over constant action, some sections require patience and careful attention to dialogue. Players expecting a more traditional action RPG may struggle with the game’s deliberate pacing and heavily narrative-driven structure. For fans of immersive simulations, narrative-heavy RPGs, philosophical science fiction, and player-driven storytelling, CONSORTIUM delivers a memorable and intellectually engaging experience filled with mystery, tension, and meaningful choice. It may lack the polish and budget of major AAA immersive sims, but its creativity and ambition make it one of the more unique independent RPGs available on Steam. Rating: 7/10
Te digo una cosa; el juego ya no se vende en Steam así que da igual lo que diga. Pero lo que he jugado no me ha gustado. Ah! y aunque diga que está en español, es mentira.

Hard no. It's solid... in that it's a total waste of your time with... little real pay off. It's all promise, no delivery.
Absolutely amazing roleplay, dialogue, and interactivity.
Real cool concept, though quite short. Have not checked out the remastered version yet.
