我是一个10后,但是我特别喜欢玩这些老游戏,感觉比现在的很多游戏都好玩,没有复杂的内容,但却有许许多多的东西供我们探索,所以我会一直玩下去=)
I still have my original disk from 2000, but I added it to my steam library nonetheless. It's my favourite RTS game by far and even now, almost 26 years later, I still enjoy playing this game for dozens of hours. It's over-the-top, funny, decently balanced and incredibly fun to play. It's the #1 RTS game I recommend everyone to pick up and play.
I'm actually making an audible sigh as I do this...but I can't recommend this. Oh. Wow. 2000 game, not recommended, right? Okay. Yet, this IS available for purchase in current year so... But, why don't I recommend this? It's just got so much character! That's the point. Character? Yes! Style? Yes! How about substance? Eh...no. Like, divorce the memes and nostalgia and this game really has nothing to it. When it first hit Steam 99% of the reviews were just regurgitating lines from the intro cutscene. Get past that, though, and the things you want from an RTS are just kind of garbage. The campaign has some fun missions, sure, but most of them aren't. Other than some middle ones that strike a nice balance, the early missions are basically impossible to lose as the game throws forces at you while stifling the A.I. with limited forces and gratuitous explosive barrels to fool the player into thinking they're actually good at the game. After the midpoint and the opposite happens, with missions that are borderline impossible without cheesing or foreknowledge. The A.I. gets surprise birthday forces while you have no knowledge of what's going on around you unless you have your Prima game guide handy. Uh huh, to all the golden boy armchair strategists huffing and puffing right now...keep telling yourself that the military will ever study your totes leet tactical acumen. The U.S. military will surely stand in awe of your ability to micro, bruh... Anyway, the skirmish is similarly hobbled, with any "fun" being to figure out the gimmicks of your map before devolving into your particular metastrategy. Mine is to run strike bombing raids on the enemy to suffocate them of resources. If I'm doing that for every match...is it really a strategy at that point or just the "thing" that I'm supposed to do? Yes. It has a lot of neat stuff, both Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. But outside of the cool as heck intro movies and slick presentation...the game that I came back for is pretty lacking and it's okay to admit that. Red Alert 2 holds a place in gaming beyond it's means... Please. Tell me this'd be at all a footnote in gaming if it wasn't for Hell March 2 starting up as war zeppelins loom over the Statue of Liberty. You're just lying if you think this game could get released today and have one one-hundredth the footprint. Saying that...is okay. Admitting that...is okay. It doesn't take away from my childhood to state this. What is offensive, though? Is to hold this on a pedestal and make it not simply goated, but outright sainted, to hold it aloft as the be-all end-all of gaming, because we shouldn't be aping this as the mythical height of gaming. Which is why it's frustrating to keep seeing the RTS genre just go back and do this "okay" game from a quarter-century ago all over again, as if we can just fish Frankie K out of the Las Vegas area, slap some Red Vs. Blue, East Vs. West slop on the hard drive and lie to ourselves we have the next "peak" of gaming... ...Tempest Rising... We should be getting better, but instead the genre just holds THIS up and expects us to break our jaws on its girthy quality, instead of admitting that it could, and should, be better.

The campiness and cheese is over the top. And old-school 90s sprite aesthetic is superb.
Modern resolutions will need some tweaking, but it's some of the best RTS games ever
