Cute, short, and fun little rhythm game. It's also free so try it out
Good concept, bad execution. The cooldown for the notes is horrible, some songs just stop and have you sit there waiting for the notes to appear again, or not at all.

This is a cute and fun rhythm game with excellent music. It's free and quite polished, so there's no reason you and a partner shouldn't get together to play through all of the songs. There's some funny dialogue as well to keep you entertained in between each jam session!
nb good game awesome environment
The first impression of "Clay Beats" is very good. The style is cute, and the combination of rhythm and pottery is quite novel, especially the two-player cooperative mode, which does have many happy moments. The operation is not complicated, suitable for easy entertainment among friends. However, I think the beginning of the game does need some novice guidance to help players better integrate into the game. And the gameplay is relatively repetitive and simple. Although I like the style of the game very much, I can't stick to playing for a long time.

There is a couple issues with this game, but the overall concept is cute. With the art book, we can see how much effort was put into character designs, and in general the idea was really cool. However: 1. Saving just does not work 2. The tutorial isn't so much of a tutorial but more throws you into the game 3. The beginning cutscene is unskipable after already viewing it once previously 4. There were many glitched in the game itself. These multiplied and got worse as the game progressed. - After the tutorial, when trying to play Marney's song the penguin's song played instead, and when clicking replay it kept playing his song before it had been unlocked. - Whisker has a visual glitch where his eyes bug out, when not interacting with him his facial patterns start floating upwards, when talking to him the texture glitches in and out, and during the song part of the pattern around the eyes was not visible. - Playing Otter's song resulted in the same song for Whisker playing, as well as the same four notes being pattern the entire time even after rebooting that didn't seem purposeful. There was also one time where in the middle of Otter's song the song entirely stopped, another time where the notes kept going and overall a confusing experience. - Another issue occurred that begun while playing Otter's song where parts of the models would glitch with black blotches and resulted in needing to restart the game entirely (because saving didn't work). - Around the halfway point of the game, after talking to the characters their textboxes stayed on the screen and we were unable to remove them until making a new piece of pottery - At the very end of the game, the screen was filled with a single colour while dialogue was still occurring. We do have screenshots of most of these glitches as proof 5. Overall, the story could have been told better. At the beginning, it's clear the protagonists get sucked into a shiny rock/piece of clay, then they just have to help people in this no world for no reason? Every character would say the same thing which showcased none of their personality. If they had dialogue variants, this would have been prevented. Each character felt rather 1 dimensional.
