"Circuit Warz" is a weird kind of tech demo, it's a hybrid FPS and puzzle solving adventure game, which can work really well, but here, it's a marriage made in hell. The puzzles, while welcomingly complex, are kind of hard to do while robots are dumping all their ammunition into you extremely quickly. Time to think? Not today. A bit better balance, polish, and maybe half an hour spent thinking about whether the game should be playable or not would have helped this a long way. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
good graphics but puzzles are way to difficult to understand

The game sucks. It really doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a shooter? Is it a learning tool? Is it a puzzle game? And it's bad in all these areas. Ok so basically you go from room to room solving circuits in a 3d environment. As if it's not too hard enough to do voltage calculations in your head looking at a schematic, now they want you to do it in 3d....While a stupid little triangle robot shoots you....And did I mention the count down timer as well? Yes while you are trying to calculate resistance values in a circuit simply based on the color bands of the resistors (Who the hell remembers these anyway?) a dumb triangular robot is constantly shooting lazors pew pew at you and you have to finish the solution within 99 seconds. Yes you can kill the robot but it respawns a few seconds later...Only to start shooting and distracting you while you're trying to solve this dumb circuit calculation. This game sounded like it could be cool. But let's face it, real engineers play better games.
