Chess.com - Play and Learn

I paid $80 for a year premium account but I’m locked out and support is non-supportive. I’m still out of $80 on an account that is paid for until May 2027! I enjoyed Chess.com and subscribed as a Diamond member until the app signed me out and wouldn’t allow me to sign back in. I tried to sign in via Apple, Gmail, my email and my user name. All fails. I cancelled my subscription.

Unstable app for iphone Glitchy app for the iphone. App for the android works great

Chess.com is sooo fun Chess.com is soooooooo fun you can play unlimited games and adjust the time for each person and play against anyone. My favorite part is the daily chess puzzles which are very helpful and fun but you can’t have unlimited puzzles unless you get membership, but you can still have a chess puzzle every day! You should download this if you like chess!

Too many ads This app is overloaded with ads, one after another, even sends notifications that are just ads. Zero stars, do not download !

Error In chess some of the move is edit by software and it cost me losing game

No Longer Enjoy Chess You guys are disrespecting the game of chess by letting these cheaters run wild on this app ! do not download this app. I just deleted it. There’s nothing but cheaters I believe bots also.! I’d never pay for a membership here! And I know they’re going to delete this review

Pros and cons Great chest interface. Easy to play, good puzzles, etc. The new ads that block you for playing for some number of seconds then require multiple clicks to close are super annoying. I close the app and restart it every time I’m presented with one. New Home Screen is (again) terrible. Old interface (that highlighted all the ways you can play chess or solve puzzles) was way more visually interesting and accessible. By contrast, the new interface (again) devotes 1/4 of the screen to two buttons for playing chess and 3/4 to stats and friends lists that most folks don’t care about. Just highlight actually playing chess!!

Good but could be better This is a classic example of this biggest platform being the best because it’s basically the only option. The game feels very nice and can do a great job at teaching new and intermediate players alike. Things I don’t like: If I’m on an another tab for 30 seconds out of a 30 minute game, in what would should that be an abandonment? Seriously? I used to be able to change my pieces and boards on mobile to any combination but now have to pick from a preset. You can mix and match on the desktop version. The premium features are at an outrageous price-$50 a year. I am constantly logged out and need to log back into the game. It’s extremely frustrating. The AI coach is needs work. I find the concept fascinating but it is nowhere near what it could be and goes off on tangents that aren’t related to what should be played.

Overpriced for stuff you get for free on other platforms Paid for the membership when it half off on Black Friday. Big regret. The platform looks nice, the engine is very confusing and not good in my opinion to operate or try to use to learn off on compared to other platforms. Overall I would don’t buy the membership. It’s not the end all be all to get better.
