Cervus Blade A souls-like game made by a small studio, and has a short playthrough. While it doesn't have a bunch of content, the game is very good for people who were in college at the time. A list of things I like about it and Dislike Pros: - Good sound design - Good soundtracks - A really cool final boss, I wish we would have gotten some lore for this (unless there already is and I haven't seen it yet...) - A very simple leveling system and enemies that are easy to learn - Beautiful art style Cons: - Game isn't optimized very good and there's a good amount of stuttering. - Maybe it's just me but I'm not a big fan of the worlds layout (The art style is very pretty though) - The Lock-On feels a bit rough. - The combat feels a bit off. Not sure how to put it though. - Once you get shown mechanics (at any point), you can't look at them again so you'd have to look it up on the internet. No game is perfect but this game is pretty good, especially for a small amount of developers. It's got it's issues, sure, but if you're starting out in the souls borne / souls-like genre, this game could probably help you learn a few things about the combat and movement since a lot of them share similar functions For my total, I'd give this game an 7.5 / 10 A good free souls-like game.
Mixed review. I would give this game a sideways thumb. Pros: - REDHEAD FEMALE PROTAGONIST The basics for a Soulsbourne-Sekiro-like - DESTRUCTIBLE WORLD OBJECTS - Health/Stamina bar - Healing item that depletes when used - dodging/step dodging - timed parries/dodging - Fall damage - Sekiro-esque posture mechanic; the more you attack an enemy, the more likely their stance will break. - Attack finishers - "bonfire" checkpoints, (in this case Altars) - 4 swing attack chain - Heavy attack - Enemy ambushes - In game currency that one uses to level up. It's simply called "Blood". - Other elements include a "berserk" mode where the protagonist enters a state of "bloodthirstiness" that basically gives her Stands made of blood to help attack enemies when she swings her sword. Cons: - No equipment or rings/talismans etc - Only one item in the game, that being an upgrade to your Deer Heart - Average gfx/sfx - When you first start the game, you're immediately thrown into an opening cinematic, even upon booting it up for the second time. - Can't rebind controls - Attacks don't use stamina; only the heavy attack does. - No backstabs - Lack of a dash/roll/sidestep attack - Lack of a "YOU DIED" screen - Fire doesn't hurt you - When you start the game, you don't continue at the last shrine visited. You start at the VERY beginning of the game - You don't lose anything when you die. - The protagonist wields a katana in an otherwise Norse/western European-themed game setting: The enemies wield Egyptian khopeshes and long-shields in contrast to the architecture in the game, which is more Victorian gothic. - Our heroine has the gamer posture; she's always slouching. (I'll add more later)
做的很不错的 虽然是模仿 但是整个流程居然很流畅 操作也不卡手 相比于同一个发行商下的其他作品甚至称得上惊艳
FromSoftware needs to hire these developers. They've got the fundamentals of Dark Souls down. Cervus Blade has a few choppy elements but overall, for a student developed Free-to-play, it's fun, short and straight to the point.
This game does not break new ground but it is competent for what it sets out to be. Definitely a better than average free short souls-like.
Прикольная, простая игра. Местами коряво и есть что улучшить, но пойдет на разик.
