This is a really cute light simulation game. It's perfect for when you're looking for something easy to play whilst chatting with your partner or a couple of friends. The mechanics are fun and not frustrating (the pairing mechanic can be a little tricky, but nothing crazy). The graphics and music are cute, the stamps and all of the art are adorable too. It feels really rewarding to ship off a perfectly Tetris'd boat of parcels, or find someone's package and hand it out. Definitely give this a go if you're looking for a less serious simulation game.
As someone with ADHD my whole life, I find it very satisfying in organizing and putting things in their correct places and this game is purrfect in scratching that itch I have. I enjoy the challenge of developing a system to make the packages neat and tidy and to not let them scatter around to where I can't find them, the different constraints for the packages also add the right amount of challenge in setting up. The art style while basic is also really cute and I enjoyed looking at all the small details littered around the station, I also enjoyed how the story was really simple and didn't needed to be complex for the game to work. The game can feel a bit repetitive going back and forth with the packages but I never found myself disliking the system, just felt like it was back and forth over and over. Highly recommend if you enjoy organizing and cozy games, easy 8/10!
The first couple hours of Cat Mail Co. are genuinely great. Sorting, stamping, weighing, building out my own little system for where everything goes. The organization part is just really fun in this game. There's Cozy vibes and great chill music. After you unlock some of the other towns and rooms its gets a lot harder to manage but I still very much enjoyed the challenge of it all! There's technically enough shelf space, but you really have to plan and manage everything carefully, and sometimes that means squeezing two towns' worth of destinations onto one shelf setup just to make it work. I agree with a lot of other reviews where a lot of residents don't come to pick their packages for ages, so a lot does pile up, but I just started putting packages in the front and it worked great for me. Near the end there was a lot of buddy packages which did end up bothering me as I cant ship them all and some were huge packages, so there definitely was a struggle there, but other than that I loved this cozy game!
Its a fun cozy game! But it has its issues; it feels like your reward for doing more parcels is the game getting harder. You cant use your points to make your life easier (like unlocking more space in the freezer, thats something I struggle with.) so there's really a lack of incentive. The only thing I could think of is unlocking pictures for the walls but I wouldnt really count that. I really would love maybe by saving points you could do things like purchase an expansion to rooms, more day time so you can serve more customers, etc I love playing this after I've just played some crazy other game to relax, but man its really annoying to just not be rewarded
