2 things clicked for me in this game: the music and the colourful city setting. Their use of colour amazed me not only in-game but in the silly little soundless cutscenes. The sad thing is that the game was not made for me and you reading this (age-wise), its combat, simply put, is boringly easy. However, other than the positives mentioned, I recommend it because it feels like reliving a nostalgic memory.

very artistically pleasing game, nicely stylized. But the Gameplay side of things feels wonky (for instance, the "mouse lock" is really bad on the end fight) cool 30min game, Reccomend it if you wanna try it out
Super cute short game! Love the art style.
Mainly played this to make sure it was kid friendly for my daughter and it was actually a pretty engaging and fun game.
Cute and fun, the music is funky and the evil-cat laugh had me in stitches every time
Sorry, but no, I do not recommend this game. I know my PC is ancient, but it can run some fairly modern AAA games at a higher framerate and with less issues.
The positives/neutrals:
The music was decent. The art style was fine. The sound effects were OK, but a little repetitive at times, especially the final boss repeatedly laughing.
Everything else:
The game was very buggy and performance was very poor. It did not respect toggling V-Sync in the settings so there was pretty regular tearing. It did not actually save the game when I got to a checkpoint, so when I quit (because I was bored within 10 minutes) and then came back to give it another chance on another day I had to resume from a few checkpoints back. The framerate tanked during the mini-boss (tank) fights, and tanked even worse during the final boss battle. Many times the game got so laggy that even my input would lag, and my character would be doing things I input a second or two earlier. Sometimes that meant my character was shooting where I was aiming a second ago. Sometimes it meant my character was running the direction I pressed a second ago, which resulted in me running off the edge into the water during a mini-boss fight, even though I had long since stopped pressing in that direction. So many times I'd press the button to shoot, or to lock onto enemies with my frisbee, and nothing would happen. But because the game often took a second or two before responding to my inputs, I'd be holding the button for two or three seconds before I could be sure it just wasn't going to happen. During the final boss fight there's a shield that repeatedly goes away and comes back. One time when it came back I got stuck inside it (right on the edge of it) so I couldn't move, but the minions that spawned in could still attack me, so I died. The first level was pretty boring. It had only one type of enemy I can remember. And it got repetitive fast, making a little progress, getting locked into a room with 3 robot cats, battling, then repeating. The second level introduced a few new types of enemies, but inexplicably had two mini-boss ("tank") battles one after the other with pretty much no other enemies in between. That was the end of the second level, at which point I thought "Okay, I'm not having fun so I'm ready to be done with this game for good" but then I saw that the third level was just the final boss fight. So I stuck it out and beat the game. The challenge of the final boss fight was overcoming the bugs, the poor performance, and the abysmal framerate. There's really no reason for a simple game like this to work my PC so hard. This feels like a weekend game jam game. The only thing that really seems to justify taking a semester to do is the levels themselves. There's a lot of "stuff" in them that probably took a while to place and make. But other than that, everything else seems like it could be done by a team this size in a weekend. Also, for a game called Cat-aclysm there were surprisingly few cats. It was mostly just a bunch of cat-shaped robots. 🤨 I understand this is a student project, and that I got to play it for free. I don't know what the assignment was, or how this submission was graded. Maybe these students did everything their instructors asked of them, and got top marks. I think there's value in making things, even if they're not well liked by others, in order to experiment and learn and grow and gain experience. No matter their grade, hopefully these students learned a lot from this project and have a bright future ahead of them making bigger and better things.
Jogo muito bom! Dinâmica do jogo é ótima, cenário, jogabilidade simples e fluida. Acredito que os desenvolvedores poderiam fazer uma DLC onde você derrotava de fato o boss. Recomendo para todas as idades!
