Castle of Blackwater

I played a few hours of this having been gifted a copy from a streamer friend of mine. Unfortunately I had written out an extensive review of the game and some things I felt like could use updates or working on, as well as portions of the game i really enjoyed. I then found out via digging on the internet that this game is backed by blockchain/crypto and that while they halted that "project" to relaunch under a "better light," and hopefully grow a player base, it was in plans to reintroduce the nft and crypto projects. They have dead links attached to their main web page that suggest prior nft and crypto schemes and if you look up castle of blackwater crypto and COBE you can easily find some more information out there. I find this disgusting and will be requesting steam to provide a refund to my friend if they bought this game for me. Either way I won't support these people and I hope this big no-no according to valve is taken seriously.

Very nice game. It feels like a 3d game of cluedo but with a nice extra touch. (You can move freely trough the map)

I've played several different social deduction game and to this day Castle of Blackwater has given me the most amount of fun with any of them. Great game, runs smooth, highly recommend playing with voice as it really is intended for it. Have fun!

Great for a group of friends to play. It has an Among Us vibe with a twist to it, which is nice. Core gameplay features three factions, each with unique win conditions and abilities. Sharp deduction skills are essential to uncover roles and outmaneuver opponents. The day/night cycle introduces strategic depth, requiring a balance between task completion and nighttime threats. Death isn't final; you play as a ghost, collecting souls to influence the game! The initial walkthrough is really helpful in familiarizing yourself with the game. I'll definitely be looking to get my buddies who are streamers playing this game. CON: Long load times. But it is worth the wait
