Simple fun game. Just run over the objects to pick them up. One of the crates has a map which was kinda helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q73qUjTX6Cc

INSERT LAME "COLD" JOKE TO START THE REVIEW WITH: HERE. You find yourself stuck in the arctic or something. Using what few resources you have, try to survive the bitter cold...and all the creatures that walk it! If you wanna live, you gotta keep your fire LIT! It has a timer and need to be resupplied with wood, but there's an abundance of trees to chop down and sticks to pick up to do so. You need to be able to return to it regularly to warm up. If you get too cold, you lose your sprint, and will die in seconds. You can use whatever item you're holding as a tool/weapon, you can only carry three types of item at a time. The stick is better than your fist, the log is better than the stick, etc...if there are any actual tools to be found, I haven't seen em....but you'll need something to fight off the hordes with! There are evil snowmen that act as stationary turrets, snakes that follow you...bats that come outta nowhere....and then there is the insurmountable terror known as...BOB, who appears after about 5min. There may be more types, but I've yet to outlast the bats .-. You have very little health, and want to avoid every hit you can. If you have a heart, you can right click it to heal. There are chests lying around that have various items inside...they take a zillion whacks to open, but always have a heart, and sometimes have a map that shows where Bob is, and where all the chests are. I assumed going in the frozen water would insta-kill you, but you can just walk on it...it's frozen...DUH. There's a leaderboard for the longest survivors, as I write this, someone else has a highscore of 28min...think you can survive half-an-hour? it's just a little cold after all! >:} The game looks really nice, and your friend by the fire keeps the cheery tunes coming, as you get mauled to death by evil lumberjacks. The only 2 gripes I have are: 1 A visible health bar would be nice, so you can use hearts without guessing. 2 All the extra menus in the start screen, such as Leaderboards and Options...don't seem to have any way to exit? There's no back button, and I've smacked every key on my board, and can't back out of them without closing the game. ^ but 1 is excusable, and surely 2 will get fixed at some point. This is a really fun take on a survival game! It's not too complicated or over-involved, but it is satisfying, and even kind of relaxing once you get in the swing!...and since you'll probably die easily, you can play thru it in one session!
Before I played CampNight, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
eğlenceli roguelike, her ne kadar optimizasyon bir eşeğin taşşağının cilalanmasına benzese de siz eşeksiniz ve fındıklar sizin çerçevelerinizdir ve balmumu da geliştiricidir
"CampNight" is one of those little inexplicable amateur train wrecks on Steam, a small unambitious "survival" game where you run around and keep a fire running, that's all you do. Do amateur game developers not know that other games exist before slamming down $100 to publish stuff like this through Steam Direct? At best this is just a tiny subset of pretty much every other survival game on Steam, only this one has worse graphics and no optimisation. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Very fun and simple game i enjoy this more then a lot of the big AAA games that release these days
