I expected a simple western shooter. What I got was one of the most entertaining FPS campaigns I've played in years. The storytelling is what makes Gunslinger stand out. Instead of simply moving from mission to mission, you're listening to an old bounty hunter recalling his adventures. The best part? He's an unreliable narrator. As he changes details or exaggerates events, the world around you literally reshapes itself in real time. It's a surprisingly clever mechanic that keeps the campaign feeling fresh. The gameplay is fast and satisfying. It's not trying to be a realistic western simulator—it's all about chaining kills, landing headshots, triggering slow-motion moments, and feeling like the fastest gunslinger in the Wild West. The duels deserve a special mention; they're tense, cinematic, and a nice change of pace from regular firefights. Visually, the game still holds up thanks to its comic-inspired art style. The soundtrack captures the western atmosphere perfectly, and the campaign never overstays its welcome. By the time it ends, you're already thinking about replaying it on a higher difficulty or chasing a better score in Arcade Mode. Sure, the AI isn't groundbreaking and the levels are fairly linear, but neither of those things gets in the way of what the game is trying to achieve: delivering a fun, stylish western adventure from beginning to end.
