very good
It's okay. Nothing special. After playing the Modern Warfare 4 Beta, my overall impression is pretty simple: it's okay. I don't hate it, but I can't say I'm particularly impressed either. If you've played Modern Warfare 2019, Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III, you shouldn't expect MW4 to reinvent the wheel. It feels very familiar in terms of gameplay, gunplay and overall design. It's basically another Modern Warfare. That's not automatically a bad thing, but at the same time, there's very little here that makes me think: "Wow, this is something new." The fast TTK is actually one of the things I like. I don't think it needs to become longer like Black Ops 4. Fast and lethal gunfights are part of the Modern Warfare identity. I'd rather see better weapon balancing and more viable weapons instead of another situation where one or two guns completely dominate the meta. The movement is also mostly fine. I don't want MW4 to turn into another movement-heavy CoD where everyone is constantly jumping and sliding around. A more tactical movement system fits Modern Warfare. ADS movement could be a little more responsive, but I wouldn't significantly increase the overall movement speed. Tactical Sprint, on the other hand, feels unnecessary and should either be removed or made optional. The bigger problem for me is the technical side. Netcode, server performance and hit registration don't feel consistent enough. There are situations where you get around a corner and still die, and the killcam can look completely different from what you experienced. Sometimes it feels like the enemy sees you earlier than you see them, leaving almost no time to react. This makes the TTK feel even more brutal than it actually is. Controller Aim Assist also feels far too strong. Controller players seem to be able to stay on target extremely easily, which can make gunfights feel almost instantaneous. I'd like to see Aim Assist toned down and the balance between controller and mouse & keyboard looked at more carefully. I'd also like Open Matchmaking to be available across all modes, or alternatively have separate Casual and Competitive playlists. I hope the developers actually listen to the community feedback, but they also shouldn't blindly implement everything players ask for. That's how you end up with a game that loses its own identity. MW4 isn't terrible. It's just not particularly exciting either. It's another Modern Warfare, and if you already enjoyed the previous games, you'll probably know exactly what you're getting. With better netcode, Aim Assist tuning, weapon balancing and some movement adjustments, it could become a solid CoD. But based on the Beta, I wouldn't expect a completely different game at launch. 6/10 – It's okay. Not bad, not great, just another Modern Warfare.
very good beta and for sure gonna be a great cod but the only problem is the call of duty secure attestation not working on newer b760 motherboards so once they fix this glitch this game is gonna be good
