This is pretty much Fast Food Simulator, except this one still has its development team, and hopefully they don't quickly abandon this one. The feeling of working at a fast food chain definitely was there, but there are only solo customers, I hope they add customers that brings their family or a couple or just bunch of friends, this also means orders can have 4 burgers and 4 drinks at once, the single tray might not fit so perhaps add a larger tray or something. seeing all those tables just filled with 1 customer doesn't feel natural. Customers also don't go to the bathroom, so the bathroom is just there but serves no purpose, there should be a mechanic where if player served an unproperly cooked meal there's a chance that customer would go to the bathroom and vomit or something, sometimes perhaps even on the floor so we have to clean it, adding more challenge.

I'm highly suspicious that Nova Telum Studios is No Ceiling Games, the same developers who made fast food simulator and abandoned it in early access. Why do I think this? Fast Food Simulator came out in December 2024. The last update that game received was June 5th 2025, and no, I'm not counting the single cashier bug fix in November 2025. When was the page for Burger Shift: Rush Prologue created? June 14th, 2025, then the prologue launched October 22nd 2025, and the single bug fix for Fast Food simulator was November 2025, and no one has heard from the FFS Dev's since. 0 activity or peeps heard from the dev's since then. There was one tiny update to the trello/roadmap board in June 2026, but no communication and nothing actually in progress. Burger Shift Rush is entirely too similar to fast food simulator to be a coincidence. The gameplay is 1:1 identical, the assets are identical, the only difference are some small QOL changes FFS could have used. I didn't even need the tutorial because all the key binds are the same. The doors are the same, the booths, the set up, the table and table numbers. In both games you spawn by a vehicle, tutorial step 1 is name your restaurant by clicking the same, in both games you have to go to the computer (in BR it prompts you to turn on the computer, which is necessary in fast food sim, but not in burger rush. Seems they forgot to edit that out when they copy/pasted the code), hit market, buy supplies, make burgers. Both games spawn 1 customer an hour. Both games unlock the same ingredients in the pace and order. Both games the NPCs have the same idle animations, appearance, and noise, they just look styled differently than FFS. Even the game trailers are the same. Opening sequence is employees running the restaurant, making the burgers, etc. The studio icons are very similar. So if Nova Telum is No Ceiling Games, which seems very likely, that means this is 100% an asset flip cash grab that is also very likely to be abandoned in the future.
I love monotony and routine. This game is good for people who like to feel like they have another monotonous day job. I personally love it but I'm also autistic and love dumb games like this. So if you're like me, then give it a try. On my first play through I almost played for 6 hours...
Had a lotta fun in this game. Gameplay loop was totally original! The cover art was 100% human made! And the ability to order 50,000 metric tons of burger buns was simply awesome. I would recommend this game to everyone with a minor case of serious brain damage!
