I bought this game, because it looked interesting and I loved the art style and it was also beautiful in game and also I bought this, because I like cute fox games and cute fox walking simulator games like ''The First Tree'' like the superior cute fox game like seriously buy ''The First Tree'' instead of this crap. And in it's current buggy and unfinished, has no objective, doesn't give you perfect game even when you get all the achievements just for playing the game and doing nothing for like 1 min and it makes you so confused on what to do, so yeah you really shouldn't buy this. It was abandoned in 2019 by the developers the same year it was made after 9 months it was abandoned like some parents abandon some orphan child after birth like in update history last update was in 2019 December it's 9 months after release don't buy in it's current state the game is cheap, but never has a sale and it's basically a scam or ripoff and refund if you can I wonder how this game got 73% positive reviews out of approximately ~ 15 reviews max. And it's still in early access without any updates or anything for 7 years now. Let's face it, this trash is never gonna be completed now is it? And only good things about this are it's beautiful and unique art style except some things and that it's a cute fox game and that's it, so in it's current state I can't possibly recommend this game. Even more since I wrote this game in 1st march this year the reviews in only 6 months have fell by 5% and have fell from mostly positive to mixed with 68% positive it is well deserved in it's current state it's never going to be finished. Literally worst fox and walking simulator game I have ever played, but I have played few fox and walking simulator games in general and literally only 2 things good about this are beautiful art style and cute fox as I said before already. And there is a cat who meows all the time and won't shut up which is so annoying too. And instead of brood whatever that is supposed to mean this game should instead be called BRUH . And now on 03.02.2025 this game has fell in review score even more by 4% it now has 64% with mixed reviews and was 68% in the past with 17 reviews max. I just google translated brood and apparently it is a real name that means something, but still this game being abandoned in early access, nothing to do and in it's current state buggy and messy state a more suitable name for this game would be BRUH instead of BROOD. And it should tell you something if I rarely write a negative reviews what it tells about the game and or DLC I am writing about in the review. 19.08.2025 at 4:38 am *Update* : so reviews fell again by 4% now it is 61% with 18 max reviews now so 1 more review meaning it was negative review good riddance honestly well deserved. At least store page says 18 max reviews, but when I counted them in all reviews I got 15 positive ones and 9 negative ones mine included so counted correctly together we get actually 24 reviews max not 18 why valve can't count to three, can't count correct count of games in my profile and game reviews? And achievements sometimes they show incorrectly too in library not on profile at least. And proof they abandoned this after 9 months after release is that they released a game in 14th November in 2020 called '' Distorted '' also a big flop even bigger than this one somehow why they just don't give up at this point? I mean they are clearly terrible at this and don't buy their games they are greedy indie company with low effort. They partnered with '' Spinning Clocks Games '' to develop their 2 nd game and published it themselves unlike this game where they both developed and published it and they made 2 nd game a horror game unlike this which is adventure walking simulator weird shift I say and they thought that someone else developing their games would work, but it didn't. And when they released their 2 nd game they worked on this game for 1 month before abandoning it completely bruh as game is called brood XD even more proof that this game even after 6 years is still in early access and has game breaking bugs when any that make gameplay very uncomfortable and almost impossible to play at least in adventure mode it was called? And They even posted their social media below as info before info about the game including Patreon and message ''We have constant Steam key giveaways so stay tuned on all our social sites!'' yuck free YouTube type follow fake giveaways bait they really are something no shame or honor at all. And it's such a shame this game clearly had way too big plans and is a unfinished buggy mess instead and is never gonna be completed as stated before don't buy never has sale at least I think even if has don't buy and it's also a shame, because this game as stated before has such a unique and beautiful art style I've never seen before which is 8/10 for art style alone only, because I didn't like the look of few things and that's the only and main reason I bought this game also, because I like cute fox games especially fox walking simulators or on rare occasions wolf walking simulators with cute wolfs or single wolf talking about actually good masterpiece walking simulator '' Lost Ember '' and lastly this game is 4/10 for me only, because of beautiful art style and being cute fox walking simulator otherwise this would be 0/10 cash grab which it basically is. And the videos doesn't help too in store page both are misleading and have gameplay that isn't in the game idk where they got it, but that's called false advertising and music / soundtrack I don't remember and even at the end of video 1 you can hear the annoying constant cat meowing I was talking about this is such a shame and why I'm so angry with this this game if you can even call it that more like unfinished playtest could've been as great and as good or even better than ''the first tree'', but instead due to greed and low effort we got this which could've been such a masterpiece if they completed it and made it with passion and love that every game and gamer deserves to get. And lastly I'll play this game again to update any info I might have gotten wrong for example music / soundtrack or explain further what I didn't like about art style. This is very constructive criticism which developers kind of don't deserve, but even then they took down YouTube video of one other reviewer criticizing this game / playtest. Also I just looked at all positive reviews and most of them are obviously written by bots by bot accounts yikes so read negative reviews as they are mostly or all humans unlike positive ones and so there are more negative human reviews than positive ones and I saw few people in positive reviews write how this game is so relaxing in their reviews how does that even make sense? I mean there is a cat who meows all the time constantly and won't shut up this is opposite of relaxing lol why can't you shut off the cat or something? XD. That's it for now when new information on reviews appear or when I think of anything else I'll update this review. Last update to this review before now : 19th august 2025. And on the review side nothing has changed still mixed rating, still 61% positive and 18 reviews total, but when I counted by going to more reviews section I counted total of 20 reviews and when you look at look more reviews page link it says 24 reviews 13 positive ones and 7 negative ones mine included. Some reviews must be botted too maybe it is a joke, but no way 2 people think this is 11/10 and positive rating of a game where there is no game only simulation of a game idk how to describe it. Like in this games unfinished, buggy state idk how it has 61% positive rating 9 more % and it would be mostly positive rating not mixed. And this game took like 5 - 10 mins to 100% this game since it gives you all achievements for simply existing in it...........
