Is it still good ? It's still in the Quake Engine, you would have to try really hard to ♥♥♥♥ that up I just think it's stuck between it's identity as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game or as something approaching a more serious and iterative sequel. As a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, it repeats a lot of the same jokes. Not all of them, and it has plenty of new and funny ones. As a sequel, it still plays a bit too close to the original, while the level design tries to be more obtuse and complex, which clashes with the comedy. The appeal of the original was in many ways in the lack of friction the player was faced with. The whole game was a breeze, because it was meant to be a spectacle in the dark and twisted mind of the average brazilian ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I only hope the eventual BDD4 is not stuck in a similar conundrum
Yes buy.
BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER BEFORE 4: DEMONS FROM THE PORTAL TO HELL I OPENED ARE STILL IN THE FAVELA AND NOW I HAVE TO SAVE MAMADAS FROM RONALDO is a deliberately outrageous old-school first-person shooter that turns Brazilian internet culture, retro FPS design, absurd comedy, and supernatural chaos into one remarkably distinctive package. Developed by Joeveno and published by Joeveno and NoQuarter, it is a standalone sequel built using id Tech 2 and clearly embraces the speed and straightforward aggression associated with the original Quake. The intentionally ridiculous title accurately represents what follows: a game that rarely takes itself seriously but still puts considerable effort into making its shooting and movement satisfying. The story continues the insanity of the previous adventure. After Mit Aia, Mackie Jackie, and the Mamadas have been rescued, a celebration in Heaven goes wrong when the Mamadas are kidnapped by Ronaldo McDalest. From there, the player is thrown into another bizarre mission involving demons, strange characters, and a journey spanning locations inspired by Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Hell, and Heaven. The plot functions primarily as an excuse to keep introducing increasingly strange scenarios. Its strongest narrative quality is personality rather than depth, with the experience serving as a tribute to Brazilian mods, bootleg games, music, memes, and internet culture from the 2000s. Combat is built around speed. Instead of encouraging careful cover-based firefights, the game wants players constantly running, jumping, strafing, and attacking. Double jumping and dashing significantly increase mobility and complement the traditional movement mechanics of a Quake-inspired shooter. These abilities are useful both during combat and while exploring the levels. Encounters become hectic exercises in maintaining momentum while avoiding projectiles and managing groups of enemies, producing a pleasantly frantic rhythm once the movement system becomes familiar. The weapons are just as unconventional as the setting. Rather than relying entirely on ordinary firearms, the arsenal embraces the game's comedy through bizarre equipment and culturally inspired creations. Weapons involving objects such as a berimbau, coconuts, food, drinks, and other unexpected items make combat visually amusing while maintaining the basic functionality expected from an old-school FPS arsenal. This willingness to make almost every weapon part of the joke helps the game establish a stronger identity than it would have achieved with a conventional collection of pistols, shotguns, and rifles. Enemy encounters follow a similarly unpredictable philosophy. Demons and zombies are mixed with considerably stranger opponents, including possessed personalities, bizarre mascots, clowns, and other exaggerated creations. Pixelated blood and cartoonish dismemberment reinforce the retro presentation. Enemies can burst into gibs after receiving enough punishment, but the deliberately crude visual style makes the violence more comical than realistic. Combined with the rapid movement and unconventional weaponry, battles frequently resemble a chaotic collision between a classic arena shooter and an obscure Brazilian mod discovered on an old computer. Exploration is more important than the game's frantic personality initially suggests. Levels contain numerous secret areas, giving curious players a reason to investigate suspicious walls, unusual platforms, and alternative routes. The movement system becomes especially important here because some secrets are designed around advanced traversal methods such as rocket jumping and double jumping. This creates additional replay value, since returning to completed stages with better movement skills can expose locations that were inaccessible or overlooked during an initial playthrough. Health recovery also fits the setting, with Brazilian food and drinks scattered throughout environments instead of generic medical supplies. There is a worthwhile amount of multiplayer and supplementary content alongside the main experience. Campaign maps support cooperative play, while dedicated deathmatch maps provide a more traditional competitive FPS option. The returning More Coming mode focuses on surviving increasingly dangerous enemy hordes. Multiplayer uses Steamworks invitations, eliminating the need for players to manually configure port forwarding when joining friends. However, the multiplayer implementation is acknowledged as unstable, so occasional technical problems should be expected. Continued content additions are also planned, potentially expanding the game beyond its launch offering. Technically, the retro foundation is part of the appeal. The low-detail geometry, old-fashioned textures, straightforward effects, and extremely fast responsiveness give it the atmosphere of an experimental shooter from an earlier PC gaming era. Hardware requirements are consequently modest, which suits a game that values responsiveness and retro aesthetics over visual spectacle. The intentionally dated appearance will not satisfy players searching for modern graphical sophistication, but replacing it with polished contemporary visuals would arguably undermine much of the game's personality. Steam Deck compatibility is officially rated Playable rather than Verified. The game runs successfully on SteamOS and its default graphical configuration performs well, while the default controller layout can access all functionality. There are some inconveniences, however. Controller support may need to be manually enabled through the game's settings, some interface text can appear small, certain prompts may display mouse or keyboard icons, and text entry can require manually opening the Steam Deck's virtual keyboard. External controllers may also require manually changing the active controller. None of these issues make portable play impractical, but the experience requires slightly more configuration than a fully Deck Verified release. Ultimately, this is a game that understands exactly what kind of audience it wants. Players looking for serious storytelling, realistic combat, sophisticated visuals, or restrained comedy will probably struggle with its relentless absurdity. Those who enjoy fast boomer shooters, Quake-style movement, secret hunting, surreal humor, retro technology, and games that confidently embrace a strange cultural identity are much more likely to appreciate it. Beneath the deliberately ridiculous exterior is a genuinely energetic FPS with responsive movement, creative weapons, exploration incentives, cooperative options, competitive modes, and an unusually memorable personality. Rating: 8/10
