Game is not finished.
BodyPanic is an indie cooperative horror game developed and published by MD that takes a familiar haunted-house concept and transforms it into a tense survival experience focused on teamwork, adaptation, and learning through repeated encounters. Designed for up to four players while also supporting solo play, the game places participants inside an abandoned house where danger escalates with every passing night. Rather than relying solely on jump scares, the experience emphasizes survival mechanics and strategic thinking, creating an atmosphere where players must constantly remain alert to unexpected threats. One of the game's strongest qualities is its approach to enemy design. The house is inhabited by multiple monsters, each featuring its own behaviors, strengths, and vulnerabilities. This variety prevents the gameplay from becoming predictable and encourages players to experiment with different tactics. Every new encounter introduces uncertainty, forcing players to observe enemy patterns and discover effective methods of survival. The learning curve becomes a core part of the experience, as understanding how each creature operates is often the difference between making it through the night or becoming another victim of the house's horrors. The cooperative component significantly enhances the tension and enjoyment. Playing with friends creates opportunities for communication, coordination, and shared problem-solving as players attempt to survive increasingly dangerous situations. Moments of panic become memorable when teammates scramble to react to sudden threats, while successful escapes feel genuinely rewarding because they are achieved through cooperation. The game's support for solo play adds another layer of appeal, offering a much more intimidating experience where every decision carries greater weight and there is no one available to provide assistance during critical moments. Exploration is another important aspect of BodyPanic. The abandoned house serves as more than just a backdrop for monster encounters. Players are encouraged to search for clues, uncover secrets, and investigate the mysteries hidden throughout the environment. This constant sense of discovery helps maintain engagement between moments of danger. The house itself feels like an active participant in the horror, with its unsettling atmosphere and hidden surprises contributing to a persistent feeling of unease. Even when immediate threats are absent, the environment keeps players on edge through uncertainty and suspense. What makes the gameplay loop particularly effective is its emphasis on improvement through failure. The game openly encourages players to learn from mistakes rather than expecting immediate mastery. Each unsuccessful run provides valuable information about monster behavior, environmental dangers, and survival strategies. This design philosophy creates a satisfying progression system driven by player knowledge instead of traditional character upgrades. As players gain experience, they become better equipped to handle the challenges ahead, making every successful run feel earned. From a technical and accessibility standpoint, BodyPanic keeps its requirements relatively modest, allowing a broad range of players to participate. The recommendation to use microphones and headsets highlights the importance of communication and audio awareness. Sound plays a crucial role in building tension, and the ability to coordinate with teammates through voice chat enhances both immersion and effectiveness during dangerous situations. Despite its strengths, the game may not appeal equally to everyone. Players seeking a heavily story-driven horror adventure with extensive narrative development might find the focus on survival and replayability somewhat limited. Much of the long-term enjoyment depends on the variety of monster encounters and the satisfaction gained from mastering the game's mechanics. However, for fans of cooperative horror experiences, these elements are likely to be the main attraction rather than a drawback. Overall, BodyPanic delivers a focused and entertaining horror experience built around teamwork, exploration, and adaptation. Its collection of unique monsters, atmospheric setting, and emphasis on learning through repeated attempts help distinguish it from many smaller horror releases. While it does not reinvent the genre, it successfully combines familiar ideas into a suspenseful package that can generate plenty of memorable moments, especially when played with friends. Horror enthusiasts looking for a cooperative challenge that rewards observation, communication, and perseverance will find plenty to appreciate in this eerie survival adventure. Rating: 6/10

This game is UNplayable in it's current state. Needs to cook a bit longer, devs. Will keep the game and wait for updates because there simply are not enough co-op horror games. Holding out hope.
