🔹 EXPECTATIONS: a puzzle game similar to World of goo. 🔹 REALITY: a sandbox puzzle game. 🔶 Blueprint Bob is a small puzzle game where we're given some building blocks to make a tower and bring Bob to a certain height (or higher). It has 3 scenarios with 14 levels each (plus a 2-level tutorial) and an unlockable 'Sandbox' mode. It doesn't have a story, though. 🔸 The gameplay loop consists on building a stable tower, that also has to be climbable by Bob. Once we're done building, we can control him directly and put our tower, and jumping skills, to the test. Each level grants a green star for reaching a minimum height, and a golden one for a 2nd height. 🔸 Each of the 3 scenarios comes with a different set of weirdly shaped blocks, and on each level we'll have available only a few of those. So the actual challenge lies in mastering, not only the best way to use each block, but in how to best combine them. 🔸 The physics system/engine is quite simplistic and I think that is correct. It makes pieces more manageable and the overall experience more fun. Towers being more stable means one can focus on the combination of blocks and making them climbable, rather than praying for it to not wobble too much. 🔸 The game comes with a score leaderboard with which we can compare our achievements to others'. It also has the option to share solutions between players, thanks to a codes system, mainly shared through the game's Discord. 🔸 Blueprint Bob is a small and short game, but its nature as a sandbox can make it give back as much as one is willing to invest. If you're after a puzzle game with open solutions, sharing them with others and competing for high scores, this is a good option. As I grow older with less spare time and burnt out dopamine system, it get harder and harder to find a game that is easy enough to get into but stimulating enough to scratch the itch. This game really succeed were other games fail. I love the physics and the global scoreboard makes me think of solutions while making the dishes.

Love the game! Been spending time just hunting records. Great to see public player score for each map and how I compete against others. Definitely looking forward figuring out new methods of climbing higher!

An amazing puzzle game in a unique art style with cozy music that fits perfectly together. There are multiple ways to solve the puzzles, and I catch myself all the time, trying to get the high score or to improve the solution I figured out. I had the opportunity to test this game in the demo a while back, so got more hours than it says on review. I would highly recommend you try it out.

i broke many laws of physics to get all the achviements 10/10

The game is really easy to get into. Nice introduction and easing into the different ways to use the different blocks. The trampoline levels are so much fun btw. I found myself spending more time trying to catapult Bob as high as i possibly could rather than trying to complete the levels xD

A beautiful little puzzle game. It's fascinating how interesting puzzles you can create with a good physics engine, interesting blocks and a sharp mind. Beware, chasing the score board can be quite intoxicating. Even the simplest puzzles have more different solutions than you might imagine at first.
