Blue Prince

The only thing I don't like is that it's first-person, but it's understandable based on the game. I also think the gallery puzzle is basically unsolvable on your own.

Perhaps the best game that I have ever played, smart puzzles, amazing wordplay and perfect worldbuilding.

A lot of the puzzles were good and there were some rewarding moments in the game. Unfortunately, it got to a point where it just became a drag playing it. I got decently far in the late game, but had to throw the towel in because it felt too tedious. I decided to look up the remaining things I needed, as well as the ending, and unfortunately the game has a very open ended ending with things unresolved. When you're solving mysteries and think there's going to be a big payout at the end, it keeps you motivated to play and continue. After learning about the ending, in hindsight it makes those 66 hours I played feel wasted. Overall, there is a lot that they did well so I don't want it to seem like I'm completely ragging on the game. But dropping the ball on the ending, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
