Blue Prince

This game is amazing and kept me very engaged for a long time. Combining roguelike-esque drafting and day-restarting mechanics with heavy continuity and puzzle-solving mechanics is a risky combination but the game pulls it off excellently. It does a wonderfully elegant job of slowly revealing secrets and weaving together wonderfully crafted mysteries. I love a game that compels me to write notes and makes me enjoy doing it. Trying to complete a specific goal you're set on can be frustrating, but there's so much going on that if you relax and instead just try and explore and discover whatever you can at each moment the game really pulls you along, and you'll eventually manage to progress the thing you wanted even if you have to get distracted on other tangents first. That said, the puzzles and its layers go very deep, and in the later layers it definitely can get frustrating. But there's so much enjoyable content before that that it's more than worth its value just to play to the point where you're interested and then retire.

Es ist am Anfang wirklich zäh und ich war kurz davor es zu droppen. Ich habe direkt viele Rätsel erwartet und wurde enttäuscht. Mit der Zeit habe ich aber das größere Bild erkannt. Jeder der hier schlecht bewertet aufgrund von RNG und keine 20 Stunden Spielzeit hat, kennt das Spiel überhaupt nicht. Mich hat es auch anfangs genervt. Sobald ich aber die Mechaniken verstanden hatte und mehr freigeschaltet habe, wurden die runs viel kalkulierbarer. Am Ende war es eins der besten Spiele, die ich je gespielt habe. Klare Empfehlung. Es lohnt sich anfangs dran zu bleiben.

I'm personally nowhere near smart or attentive enough to clear this game without copious help by the internet but I still enjoy it a lot! I'm sure, if you love puzzles and in-depth lore, you are going to adore this one! And if you're like me and don't have the patience for all that: it's still a gorgeous game with a fun game play, and there is plenty of help to be found online <3

I beat it and still have puzzles I want to solve. This game is easy to learn, deep and layered. Definitely recommend!
