somewhat top down free game with an interesting mechanic that you sell health for ammo and to update the map. Some of the monsters are zombie like, some are weird spiderlings that spit at you. its a blend of do you kill everything and need to keep spamming through all your health vials to keep your ammo stocked up, or do you run past things and through doors into the next sections to save your health and ammo? After dying a few times to various things we started leaning into the second as health packs don’t respawn if you pick them up and while your ammo stays whatever it was when you found the latest piece of lore that caused a game save, all the friendos do respawn again. im sure you could purge a chunk of your freshly respawned healthbar to top up the ammo but is it worth it when theres no health kits for a while? Its an interesting gamble. And while the game overall does have a few faults and issues, like the “hit the button, run to the door” mechanic being an almost hilariously tight window and the mouse aiming being a bit wobbly at times, it’s a free game. Play it, give feedback and hopefully its makers use this strong start to make better games, but for free? You really cant fault it as a recommendation

You know I honestly don't think the game is bad, like some of these reviews are saying. There isn't anything here to criticize really, especially since its free and a college project (I think so at least). The idea of sacrificing health for ammunition is also a really unique one. Understandable if you just want another survival horror to hold you over before the next RE game inevitably drops. I will say though that I can understand why some people might not maintain an interest in playing it. Although not bad, the game's design inherently forces a player to avoid combat since bullets can only be obtained by sacrificing health, health is a limited resource, there are way too many enemies, and enemies are rather tanky. To compensate, the game allows the player to very easily outmaneuver enemies. In fact, it's so easy and encouraged to do this that the game should really just be called BloodDodge. Most of the game is just juking out zombies to save ammo while running around collecting unspecified keys to get into new rooms. It's really just boring once the novelty wears off, at least in my opinion. But hey, it's free, unique, and entertaining for at least a good 40 minutes.
My friend who i play CS2 with said if I post a review on this game and it gets 200 likes and 200 Awards that he will buy me a RTX 4070 and 2 kg of canned tuna. So I'm just gonna leave this here. Help bruddi!
It's good but not entertaining honestly. It lacks difficulty, which for an school project is fine but having a challenge can also enhance the entertaiment somebody has with the game. Overall a 6/10 but I have faith on this studio tho, the lore was also fire.
Bloodshots is a charming surprise, showcasing the brilliance that indie developers bring to the table. Visually, its pixel art is distinctive and nostalgic, offering a unique and visually appealing experience. The gameplay is simple yet engaging, with intuitive controls and cleverly designed puzzles. What sets Bloodshots apart is its compelling narrative. The well-developed characters and emotionally resonant story prove that a captivating plot doesn't require a blockbuster budget. The soundtrack complements the experience beautifully, adding to the game's overall charm. Despite not having a massive open world, Bloodshots carefully crafts its levels, encouraging exploration and discovery. The developers' commitment to community engagement is commendable, fostering a sense of collaboration with players. In conclusion, Bloodshots is a testament to indie creativity. While it may lack the scale of big-budget titles, its heart and soul shine through in every aspect. For those seeking a unique, well-crafted indie adventure, [Indie Game Name] is a journey worth taking.
Short game but pretty fun.
