Blood Bowl: Death Zone

[h1] Blood Bowl: Flaming Landfill, it's just bad [/h1] This is a game title that is well... a travesty. This abhorrent abomination of a game is one of the worst embodiments of any sport fictional or otherwise, and it's not for the reasons you think. It's for those, and every other reason you could come up with too. From gameplay, to lore, graphics, bugs, even to playerbase. This game takes Games Workshops lows right into Marianna's trench. It's so bad I had a debate with myself over whether or not to even submit gameplay footage along with this one (notice I didn't). [h1] "Rough" Gameplay is an understatement [/h1] The gameplay, as I generously call it, is in fact just hitting a few buttons in fast sequence and using the same powers and strengths across EVERY team. Bombs and lightning coupled with manually moving around a few players in rapid sequence essentially creates a strategic-less experience that after a round or two loses it's already dull glimmer of appeal. Keep in mind there is no human you can match up with to play this. We gave the matchmaker a fair amount of time too (multiple hours), who could blame anyone for not playing this "gem" in "Ranked play"? It's not like matching against a human would change the lamentable aspects of this game that to top it off has NO CUSTIMZATION OF TEAMS, NO CHOICE IN PLAYER COMPOSITION, NO STORY, and NONE of the classic elements of blood bowl that make blood bowl well... blood bowl. This game isn't turn based either in case you were wondering. [h1] Bugs, AI, and Graphics. Oh my! [/h1] So the AI isn't bad in a difficulty sense. It's irritating in the fact that it can hit all players at once and the player can only move one at a time. A hearty disadvantage that shouldn't be allowed, and thusly only allows what I suppose is "the optimal experience" against another human player. The abilities are bugged, and look terrible. Fireballs and lightning bolts will both hit too many or too few opponents with no real defined hitbox. It's bad folks, real bad. [h1] The Worst Blood Bowl... So Far [/h1] This game is the worst iteration of "Blood Bowl" that has hit the shelves, there is no doubt about that. This game, if nothing else, at least holds the crown for WORST Blood Bowl iteration currently available. There is no other Blood Bowl you could play with worse gameplay mechanics or feel than this one. Look no further, you've found the worst of the worst. However, I wouldn't put it past Games Workshop to EVENTUALLY make something worse than even this currently is, but this game currently holds the title as THE WORST blood bowl iteration.... for now. [h1] TLDR: So how bad is it? [/h1] This game is a crime against Blood Bowl and not worth playing, the only times it seems anyone acquires this game (to my knowledge) is when it is provided in a "Blood bowl complete" package. This is definitely the biggest blotch on the game series right here. Not even worth enough to be a mobile app, let alone a stand alone title like it currently stands. 1/5 stars, and even that feels like too much. I'm not going to mince words, Steer clear at all costs.
