Ta bueno
Absolutely amazing 10/10
It's pretty much like Castlevania, except instead of fighting monsters, you fight Spanish people. 7/10
I am sorry, but as much as I want to like this game, I will leave a bad review. I have bought this game since day one. I tried it and saw that there are a lot bugs in controls, ESPECIALLY with the ladder jumping. I used both keyboard and controller but I failed miserably. I uninstalled it and decided to play it after a while, maybe the devs fix it later on. It has been years since this game has been released and I still have issues with the controls + there are glitches and bugs that force me to quit and restart the game. The environment and the gameplay is cool, so is the story, but the controls are complete garbage. I tried every fix and I still have tons of issues for no reason.
By far, the best part of Blasphemous is the art, voice acting, and music. My favorite songs are the ones that played during the Crisanta and Isidora boss fights. Personally, the lore didn't grab me during my playthrough, but I hear it's quite good and there is plethora of resources online to explore it. The gameplay is fun for the most part, although both the combat and platforming are too basic for my liking, especially the latter. I very much enjoyed each boss fight, although only two of them were really challenging (mainly because of the stun-locking), those coincidentally having my favorite songs. Unfortunately, I would say a guide is needed as a lot of the quests are too obscure, and many of these quests have important relics/items needed for fully exploring areas. Overall, there's a lot of great and a lot of meh, but I still enjoyed the game.
