This is a really fun game. Slick and polished. Much respect to the developer, bang up job especially for a personal project free game! Better than some paid games here, that's for sure. So to anyone reading, stop reading now: It's a free game. Hit that download button and give it a play. Inspiring work - I've been experimenting with SFML, SDL, Raylib C++ libraries and it's awesome to see what Raylib is capable of. You certainly put it through it's paces here. Great job creating an atmosphere of frenetic and unpredictable action. Like the rising water, the 'secret' Mario style platformer sub-level where you gather coins, the missile firing Plants and Zombies style pea shooter that follows the player, etc. Also, the 'AI' for the enemies is great. Same for variety of power ups. Graphics and animation are solid, everything is fast and smooth. I love the switches that alter the lighting. So much good stuff you have going on here! However, I would try to make it more clear to the player how to use power ups and what they do. Make more gold available. I noticed these shops keep popping up with like 2-7 coin items yet I never have found more than a coin or two except in that secret area. So that is a bit frustrating and distracts from the action. The combat system and player control system could use a bit of refactoring as well - it's really hard to get close enough to use that sword without taking damage. And I would like to see the player start off with a missile weapon you can actually control, not the 'Vampire Survivors' style shoot at random intervals deal. Really nice procedural elements here as well. I'd love to see a sequel that fine tunes some of those procedural elements (like for example, an exit to the next level appearing in the very first room of a new level, etc.) and addresses game play issues. Cheers :)
