I love spreadsheet games and business sims. I have played a lot of them. I would HIGHLY recommend this game if you enjoy business sims. It is now my new go-to for that and I can't see that changing any time soon. I put 60 hours in within the first 3 or 4 days of 1.0 lol, my first time launching the game turned into a 15+ hour session because I was so hooked. Love that there is workshop mod support and it has some good content in there to enhance your experience even more. Personally, I find that this game has some of the best business sim mechanics out there for recurring orders, storage warehouses, and delivery drivers. So many business sims don't even have these features and Big Ambitions not only does have them, but it does them very well and keeps it simple and straight forward with no fuss so you don't need a logistics degree to get your restocking automations going. It's really hard to pick up another business sim once you've played with these mechanics. There are also a lot of difficulty sliders and you can even save and label custom difficulty settings to use on new playthroughs as difficulty presets. I also like that each new playthrough spawns you on the map with slightly different starter buildings available to rent to keep things a bit fresh at the start.
I can't wait to see what updates and dlcs bring in the future! Of course hopefully eventually more business types, but I would also LOVE to see an update that expands personal player owned computers even more by adding things like the bizman app suite to them just to give a bit more variety in how you can interact with managing your empire since everything currently is just done through your phone and that can get a bit stale. There are phases in the game where progression is kind of just standing in front of your bed and going to sleep for 24 hours, checking your phone for a business update, sleep for 24 hours, check your phone, sleep, check phone, etc etc so something as simple as just being able to walk to my computer setup in my house to do that to break it up would be cool.
The only negative I really have is just a small nitpick and it's just that the building floor plan logic doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I am often left scratching my head wondering why a lot of the cool massive high rises and big buildings i would go to look at would only give me a tiny room for 5-6 desks and a customer cap of 8-10, meanwhile the tiny single floor building next to it would give me a 175 customer cap and a massive building area to use. You get to a certain point in the game where these small capacity buildings are a waste of time to even think about so it was a bit disappointing sometimes finding out the building you wanted to expand to was actually just a coat closet on the inside. I can also see how this could actually be a good thing though to keep you thinking about your next expansions and what buildings are worth it to go for. Again, it's just a very small nitpick and there are still tons of actual big high rises and buildings so it's not actually a serious issue it's just a nitpick.
