About
In these lands, the arts of magic are forbidden. Those who practice them are hunted and killed.
These mages seek shelter in forgotten places, where few dare venture and the magic of the wilds still blooms bright.
As one of those hunted few, you must make a stand and ascend to untold power, before you are slain.
Beyond the Threshold is a fantasy card game about building your powers as a mage through casting spells, building projects, and summoning minions.
In Beyond the Threshold, you position your minions to gather five resources: insight, mana, crystals, wood and corpses.
Then you use your resources to fight off perils and to invest into casting spells and building projects.
But, you will need to guard your Lair against the dangers of the forest, the wrath of the villagers, the might of the King's Army, and the might of ascended mages who do not long for company. If you're unable to manage these increasingly deadly perils, you will perish before you can ascend.
Each mage has a unique ability and deck of cards. You can unlock two additional decks for each mage.
The Prophet - hears the voices of the powers beyond and spreads their word to gather countless followers. They have no qualms in sacrificing those followers to summon forth powerful but unpredictable higher beings.
The Artificer - master of metal and magic who seeks to combine science with technology. They manufacture specialized automatons then repair and upgrade them to collect resources at an industrial scale.
The Druid - is a student of life and nature who can build a band of helpful animal companions. Animals can’t act on their own but each one makes the druid even stronger.
The Necromancer - is a student of death and the dead who can summon and buff armies of zombies. They waste nothing and recycle their own units to regain some of the resources spent.

Reviews
Incredibly fun little game with a friend. A lot of classes/subclasses that vary a lot in their focus and complement each other. Cheap game for couple hours of fun. Visuals are rough, but made with love. The bad: UI and clicking on stuff are clunky. We ecountered some bugs or things that dont act like the exact wording, but nothing to serious Would recommend it for everyone as a casual strategy game, with the perfect amount of challenge and variety
Crazy fun game
A fairly decent solo/cooperative digital boardgame with a good variety of playstyle based on the deck you select and game mode that you can choose to play based on the kind of challenge you prefer. It's the worker placement game where you assign your units to different location to harvest the resource that use to play cards and eliminate obstacles to reach the goal. Graphics and sounds are not very remarkable and mostly utilize free assets which is quite understandable for the small developer. I would take that over AI generated assets though. While the game is just around the slightly lower than average quality, it's core gameplay is solid enough and pretty fun overall. Having serviceable online multiplayer and developer being responsive to bug/typo reports also leave me a good impression. It's not a very attractive game but I would recommend it to board gamers and you can give Demo a try. The game is reasonably priced and deserved more recognition at least for its good game mechanics.
