I remembered why i bought this game many years back despite many negative reviews; the intro is like triple A Hollywood blockbuster movie! Here is my recording of it: http://dai.ly/x6cl0p6 OK I will try to be as brief as the UI.

Keybindings can be changed but speed-up & slow down keys don't work. You have to use the mouse scroll wheel for that.
Increasing mouse sensitivity may not affect turning rate because it's limited by ship maneuverability.
Mouse buttons are not assignable. Only left button is used for firing.
To change weapons, you need to use a key.
Screen resolution depends on your desktop res.
Everything that is mentioned above regarding UI, speed control and turning rate can be seen in this Tutorial video: http://dai.ly/x6cl0p5 No crashes so far but then i just got started. Graphics: 8/10 - better than Freelancer Sound effects: 7/10 - above average Music: 8/10 - impressed me Gameplay: 7/10 - probably, just a guess right now Story 6/10 - umm i'm not there yet I have a feeling this is gonna be gud so it's a YES. For such a low prices on such new spanking shiny ships, you couldn't go very wrong, you could do worse for higher prices. I'll update this review if i find any game breaking bugs later. Update 1 - Jan 19, 2018, 0838 hrs There are some bugs now: 1) Tend to occur in the hangar when you click the '+' button to see more information, it hangs. 2) At the end of missions, sometimes it will hang. 3) Some achievements like the Tutorial and the first mission fail to unlock. The only way out in the first 2 cases is Ctrl-Alt-Delete, then close the program. For now 6/10. Even though those aren't game breaking bugs, they are serious enough to waste your time. Update 1a - Jan 19, 2018, 0950 hrs Seems like the tutorial achievement can only be unlocked if you use the default key bindings. Got the first mission achievement too but unsure if it has something to do with key bindings or because of deleting the savegame and restarting from scratch. Update 1b - Jan 20, 2018, 0303 hrs - Crashes eliminated OK no more crashes. Here are the steps: [olist]
Disable ReLive overlay in the Radeon settings
Kill any and all AMD ReLive processes in the Task Manager
Switch to on-board audio and unplug USB headphones
Reboot [/olist] The game prefers OpenGL. In short, try a different recording method or check OpenGL driver version compatibility.
All Clear
Crash bugs solved, revising score to 7/10 and BTW the music is really awesome! https://youtu.be/LmdMGc9OTw4 Update 2 - Jan 21, 2018 0053hrs - Random crashes I spoke too soon, there are still random crashes. Back to 6/10. Some missions are very hard due to sluggish controls and too many fast enemies. Update 3 - Jan 24, 2018, 1826hrs You can avoid random crashes by not using software based game recorders. Completed campaign in easy difficulty but medium difficulty is too hard for me. Achievement is a bit broken, says i defeated the last boss but didn't give me achievement for completion at easy difficulty. Game has difficulty spikes. The turret section in mission 3 is very hard but i got pass that. A few missions later and again hit another spike, Lado, the pirate boss, is too overpowered. I can't get pass this one. I dunno how some people can complete this in nightmare difficulty. The game has no missions like the intro, neither does it look and play like the intro. Mouse control is sluggish for the most part. Voice acting has many funny moments, i like that. Sorry, have to drop the score to 5/10 .

"Beyond Space" - A Galactic Misstep in the Cosmos.

"Beyond Space" attempts to shoot for the stars but unfortunately crash-lands in the realm of forgettable space simulations. The game promises a journey through the cosmos, but the reality is a tedious and lackluster experience that leaves much to be desired. The visuals, while attempting to capture the vastness of space, end up feeling dated and uninspired. The repetitive nature of the environments and lack of visual variety make each cosmic voyage a monotonous trek through the same lackluster expanses. Gameplay-wise, "Beyond Space" struggles to find its footing. The controls are clunky, and the overall handling of spacecraft feels more like navigating a rusted shopping cart than a sleek starship. The lack of engaging mechanics or innovative features contributes to a sense of aimlessness, leaving players yearning for more substance. The narrative, touted as an epic space opera, fails to captivate. The story lacks depth, and the characters feel like mere placeholders, failing to create a connection between players and the unfolding events in the vastness of space. In conclusion, "Beyond Space" ventures into the cosmos with grand ambitions but falls short of delivering an engaging and memorable experience. The lackluster visuals, uninspired gameplay, and forgettable narrative make it a title that fades into the vastness of space, leaving players searching for more fulfilling interstellar adventures. fun when it doesn't crash
Tak Bohuzel nekdo to poradne Rozbil a uz to pada po kazdem levelu :/ jinak dobra hra
A AMsterpiece not
Nett gemacht, aber leider viel zu schwer. Und das ist frustrierend. Schon ab Kapitel III.III ist man quasi chancenlos, egal welche Schiffe / Schilde / Erst-, Zweitwaffe ausgewählt wird,
Poor controls, erratic inputs, and frequent crashes make this space-sim not worth $4, even with decent graphics
For a tablet game it might be ok. As a PC Game - It is a bad port, from the initial display problems (DPI scaling and dual monitors; it don't like). Once you start playing the woes don't end - clunky to play either KB / mouse / or gamepad and those damn click and drag flick menus?? WHAT provide us with a glowing interface arrow for PC please. I can't be bothered giving this review or bad Android/iOS? port any more time. BAD PORT Average game if that, don't bother
I bought this game because after seeing the trailer it reminded me of a mobile game i love called "galaxy on fire 2". because i'm probably a huge idiot, i didn't look at the review percentage. the controls are awefull and as far as i know you can't change them either. one of the first achievements i got was one called "your will is admirable". this basically means that i died 5 times in one mission but believe me it was way more than that. knowing each mission isn't really long, you can probably guess just how bad the controls are. the story itself isn't bad but its not good either, i suggest reading some other revieuws as well since i never finished the game myself and it's been quite some time since i actually played it. that is also the reason why i'm ending this review here. long story short: it's not worth the money and in my opinion not even when it's on sale. just go back to the store and buy something else. there are a lot of great indie games you can get for little money. you'll be better of with one of those
