i found the best game on earth. The level design is immaculate. The UI is so clear and easy to use. The graphics? Unbelievable. You must play it. It changed my life.
Take note of the emotions you experience when i tell you to paint a mental picture of what it must feel like to be the only black man in a crowded cracker barrel during breakfast hours... if you pictured yourself feeling estranged, tense, or even terrified at the sight of the horrific staleness that surrounds you, then congratulations; you now know how it feels to play Ben's World. As made abundantly clear by the title, Ben's World was made by ben, for ben. the whimsical landscapes and wondrous sights to behold contain untold pleasures saught by many but only revealed to one ben, the almighty creator of these lands. as i began my journey through each chapter in the unspoken, handcrafted story of ben... i was made aware by the oversized wildlife that i was not welcome in this place... likely because i am not ben. evey creature i encountered, from the eight-foot zebras to this free asset off the unreal engine store, seemed to engulf me with an intoxicatingly repulsive air of passive aggressive hostility so thick one could cut it with a knife. this abrasive inhospitality that plagued my conscience is what seemed to usher me along through these alien worlds, stopping only occasionally to collect these stars of no tangible value other than a counter in the top right corner of the screen. after what felt like an eternity of drifting through the harsh folds in this page of ben's reality, i reach the final realm: the museum. The museum is entirely separate from the rest of the areas in the game, in that it doesn't appear to serve ben, but rather document and showcase him for the rare visiting stranger such as myself. There is no wildlife to shun me, nor are there any walls for me to run on... there are no visually treacherous elements lacking any affect on the world around them, either. I was left alone to admire more free assets and a few photographs of what i can only presume to be Ben and his owner. 3/10

I can see that you're invested in your game. I've kept that in mind while experiencing all of the levels available now. I realize it's a work in progress. However. I have a few thoughts and questions about the end goal for this project. 1. The proportions of the main character and everything else are incredibly off. It feels like we're a ferret trying to jump and interact with giant creatures and spaces. 2. That leads me into- I do not know how anyone could get the stars in the first level. I also didn't find stars in multiple levels. When I did find them nothing happened. 3. There's visual issues- textures corrupted for instance. Collision isn't set on the added rocks in the cave or the trees in the neighborhood making it possible to glitch through them and potentially get stuck. 4. There's a bit of sameness in the levels. My favorite was the ice world- it felt eerie and I would love to see some monoliths and that ilk placed there! The sound was also perfect in this level. I really liked the tension between the beauty and the sense of being isolated. 5. I guess my question is- where do you see this game in the future? Currently it feels a bit incohesive. I don't know how anything connects between the levels and within the levels. Why are there cars everywhere? Why is there a reaper in the ice level? Also the goofiness is fine to a degree but it feels blase or careless if it's used in a big way. It seems like you don't care about the product when utilized a lot which means the player won't feel invested either. This is personal preference and can be taken with a bushel of salt but I'd recommend a storyboard and a common thread between and within the worlds. Also adding stars to create gameplay mechanics isn't bad in theory but what's the reward for the player- what motivates the player to find them? Unfortunately I can't recommend the game in it's current state. I don't know what the plans are for the future but I'm willing to wait and see. Currently it's a no. I hope very much that you're able to showcase your creativity further and bring it all together.
10/10 Game A truly interesting and awe inspiring masterpiece of a video game. From lush jungles to frosty tundras with ancient creatures to claustrophobic glowing caves this game offers so many places to explore. You may also explore on your own in many ways, by foot, by car, by semi truck, by wall run, or by rat pov this game offers and interesting set of tools to help maneuver it's beautiful landscapes. Sound wise the game is also beautiful as it offers realistic tracks for the areas you explore. I stood in the middle of a jungle hearing the birds in the trees. I stood on a frozen snowy tundra listening as the wind blew past me with extreme force. On the tech side of things the game is incredibly well optimized as i never manged to dip below 90 fps on the highest settings. Along with that the graphics are outright beautiful and stunning as it feels like I am truly within the space I was in the game. I thank Ben for creating this masterpiece of an experience that I will surely not forget for years to come. Rest In Peace Felix
