Bed and BEAKfast

Short and sweet little game about running a BNB, wish there was more of it to play! It did take me quite a bit of experimenting to figure out all the recipes though which got a little frustrating sometimes but I got there in the end. Was fun to see all the bird designs and fly around delivering food.

"Bed and BEAKfast" is [b]not a game[/b]. It's an advertisement disguised as a full game, and you're expected to go pay for [b]""Sincerely, Robin""[/b] after seeing this advert for it. Except you can't because they never made that game. This is misleading, a shady way to market a for-profit product, and misleading gamers for profit is wrong. The product this is advertising,[i]"Sincerely, Robin"[/i] is supposed to be a mobile/browser tier screen tapper where you run a restaurant for furries/featheries, making jam and other busy-work stuff... if you think it was going to compete with StarDew Valley, that's a nope, it's much shallower.... But this isn't Bed and BEAKfast, it's just an ad for it. If you really like adverts, you can get them for free on Youtube, in your browser... heck even online streaming video subscriptions have ads now. Why download and install another advertisement? There's a correct process to publish game demos and advertisements like this on Steam. You can see it in [url=https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos]Valve's Steamworks Documentation for Demos[/url] but either the "developer" didn't know about that (something they absolutely should before they even touch Steam Direct), or they deliberately and willfully bypassed this process to mislead gamers, for profit. Either is not okay. This is an advertisement for a product that doesn't even exist yet. The "developer" gave up or just plain didn't bother finishing the thing you're supposed to buy after seeing this advertisement (probably because everyone saw how garbage it was from the quality of this advertisement). This is an advertisement for nothing. It provides zero value to gamers. There is no sign this will ever be a real game. Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an innocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of [b]only 8 players[/b], it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts. Finally, I write these reviews to try help people navigate the thousands of games on Steam so they don't waste time on low quality products. There's over 140,000 games on Steam... Steam Direct is allowing an influx of around 40-50 new games [i]every day![/i]. If you think I'm wrong about this one, go ahead and add it to your library, download it, install it, play it and see for yourself. Maybe you'll come to agree with me after wasting your time. Either way, consider writing your own reviews too. I'm just glad if my review helps give gamers enough info to make a better informed choice.

Incredibly cute and wholesome game. The only downside is not being able to support the makers financially!

It's cute enough, but the game is overly simplistic and short (about 3 hours). I expected some more management of the B&B, not just combine ingredients to make different dishes.

A very cute game! The story so far look like it going to be emotional one. The art style of the character are unique and look like they are drawn with color pencils! There is no real directions (for controls) or 'how too' within the game. You just have to try and mash items together to see what they make. But it does work like real cooking. Berries in blender makes fruit smoothies vs berries on stove makes preservatives. Also maybe add a trash can to get rid of the unwanted food items so you don't have so much to look through when trying to find the right dishes to serve.
