Actually one of the best games I've ever played.
Absolute, Cinema. A very charming little game, with silly characters and interactions.

Consigliato.
Beautycopter uses a simplicity that is reminiscent of old Shareware games and puts it in a package that will tickle older gamers with a classic feel while offering newer gamers a peek into how things used to be.
Beautycopter is a fascinating vaporwave-like aesthetic game showcasing a day in the life of a concierge at a luxury resort where you get a helicopter to assist your guests. I reckon if I had such a piece of equipment I'd enjoy my job more, too! Albeit a short flight overall, it proves its concept well of what it's like to take care of various problems and requests you will receive as a concierge, some more and less realistic, considering your guest roster may include barnyard animals. It's easy to see where the concept could be extrapolated over more than one day and with more iterations, but the game proves its point in just one day. What I admired most about the game is how intuitively it handles player actions. The game only gives you a two sentence tutorial for the most part, and yet I managed to feel well-guided as to what I should do to progress the game. Only a couple times did I have to puzzle out what to do next, usually due to a lack of understanding a key control. But the fact that the game works with the player's psychology as it does makes the final endgame reveal/level intuitive-- no one tells you to go there, you just figure it out. I wish more games were capable of reading player psychology to this level, where handholding is not necessary but also the player doesn't really struggle. I also really enjoyed the aesthetic, which harkens back to a decade or so more ago when multimodality and multimedia gaming was a little more absurd and bizaare. The music and sound design fits into and helps define this aesthetic, and that main theme is really uplifting and chill, puns only slightly intended. Of course, as I've iterated once, my only desire unfulfilled after playing this game is for it to have been longer, but for 2 bucks, it proves its point, has a few interesting Steam achievements to guide you on what you might have missed, and leaves you with a unique experience. Far longer games with many more developers have failed this task. So cheers and enjoy the struggles of the hospitality industry from your somewhat comfy helicopter chair!
i had this on my wishlist for awhile, but never got around to it. however, i had a dream about flying a beautycopter-like thing, and i knew it was time. this game is absolutely delightful. the environment, story, "voice-acting", and characters mesh together seamlessly. i've played this a few times and i can't not laugh and enjoy it immensely. i am also quite impressed with the music, wow. i'm so happy this exists.
help cat, feel happy.
