BATTALION: Legacy

Battalion 1944 had everything it needed to become the next competitive shooter. Tight gunplay, rewarding movement, classic World War II combat, and enough old-school charm to make veterans feel right at home. The problem? You can't play against ghosts. When the servers were alive, every round rewarded skill over gimmicks. Winning came down to aim, positioning and teamwork instead of whoever had unlocked this week's overpowered meta weapon. Unfortunately, players drifted away faster than my motivation after dying to the same sniper for the sixth round straight. Before long, finding a match became the real competitive mode. Battalion 1944 wasn't a bad game - it was a good game that arrived at the wrong party, and by the time everyone noticed, the lights were already off. Sometimes the hardest shot to land is keeping a player base alive.

Das Spiel ist großartig! Das Spielgefühl kommt dem vom Counter-Strike sehr nahe. Ich würde sogar so weit gehen, zu behaupten, dass es der einzig echte Konkurrent von Counter-Strike ist. Nur aus irgendeinem Grund sind die Server leer. Ich kann es mir nicht erklären. Am Spiel selbst kann es nicht liegen. Also Leute. Kaufen. Rein da! Ballert, was das Zeug hält!
