Batman™: Arkham Origins

upgrade system sucks but thats about it 9.5/10

I had terrible memories of this game for some reason. Picked it back up and, other than the weird progression system stuck behind some truly awful challenges, the story is pretty darn great, the boss fights are better than in any other of the franchise's entry and the gameplay feels super smooth for a 2013 game. The only critic I could give is that the world simply doesn't feel as alive or detailed as it was in City or even Asylum and that the devs really gave us one of the best adaptations of Bane's character but gave him minimal screen time while downgrading him to be one of Joker's henchmen. Joker's fun and the VA really does a good job but this felt like a missed opportunity to finally move away from him and establish the rest of the Bat's rogue gallery as credible threats. Still worth the highest 7/10 I could give.
