good game, but not a good batman arkham game
its perfection
IM VENGENCE
English Version (french below) : I'll be honest, this is my least favorite of the main 4 Arkham Games. There are so many bugs it is actually crazy, the story is ok at best but can get really cheesy at times and yeah some preadator missions are just way overboard (granted we did play on Hard Mode). I know everyone gasses up Deathstroke boss fight, which I honestly found way overrated, even if it is good don't get me wrong, but it's still a copy of a better boss from Arkham City with some interesting mecanics being replaced by QTE basically asking you to spam X. Now, having said that, it's still an Arkham game, the gameplay is really good, the music is nice, the side content is cool (except the Anarchy signs that you have to find with no indications at all) and there's no question it is a good game, it's a bit of a step down compared to the main trilogy in my opinon. Doesn't mean it's bad though. Try it for yourself and you may have a completely different opinion.

First played this 10 years ago and still think this is the worst entry in the series. It bore me halfway through with its completely uninteresting story. I'm not sure if its just me but the input registration during combat feels very off in this one compared to the other games made by Rocksteady. The Electric gloves also trivialize combat with how often you can use them... You can skip this one and replay Asylum, City or Knight which are still to this day, excellent.
Batman: Arkham Origins starts much stronger than I expected. Visually, it is a clear improvement over both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, with Gotham feeling larger, darker and far more atmospheric. The increased cinematic presentation gives the story more impact, while the combat continues to evolve through small but meaningful improvements that make every encounter feel smoother and more satisfying. Chaining gadgets into combat, countering attacks and maintaining momentum genuinely captures the feeling of being Batman, making combat one of the strongest aspects of the game. The presentation also deserves recognition. Gotham looks fantastic throughout the campaign, the darker tone fits Batman perfectly and the overall atmosphere is among the best in the Arkham series. Ironically, the real-time gameplay often looks better than several pre-rendered cutscenes, which occasionally appear noticeably softer and blurrier than the game itself. Unfortunately, those strengths are constantly interrupted by technical problems that become increasingly difficult to ignore. Individually, some of these bugs might seem relatively minor, but together they repeatedly break immersion and gradually damage the overall experience. Mission guidance is one of the biggest weaknesses. Arkham Origins often expects the player to already know where to go, particularly inside larger interior locations. Instead of naturally guiding progression through level design or objective markers, the game frequently leaves you wandering around searching for the correct path. That alone already hurts the pacing, but the situation becomes significantly worse once technical issues begin affecting the objective system itself. At that point, the problem is no longer poor guidance; progression simply stops being reliable. The game also suffers from a surprising number of technical issues. During my playthrough I encountered missing gameplay audio after cutscenes that required restarting the game, enemies randomly teleporting while searching for Batman during predator encounters, ragdoll physics launching defeated enemies across the environment, interaction prompts failing to work correctly, doors refusing to open despite being the intended route, and controller-related interface problems where menus and the map would occasionally stop loading properly unless I moved the mouse. None of these problems completely ruined the game on their own, but together they created the impression that the game never received the level of polish expected from the rest of the series. The breaking point came after defeating Copperhead. The main story objective completely disappeared from the map. I initially assumed I had missed something or that I needed to complete side missions first, eventually finishing Black Mask, Penguin and Shiva before realising that the main campaign objective simply no longer existed. At that point I wasn't trying to solve a puzzle or explore the world naturally. The game had stopped telling me how to continue its own story. The only option left was searching online to understand whether this was a bug or if I had somehow overlooked the next objective. This completely changed my opinion of the game's technical quality. Minor bugs can usually be overlooked when they have little impact on gameplay, but progression bugs are a completely different matter. A story-driven game should never require players to leave the game, search Google or watch YouTube videos simply because the campaign no longer functions correctly. Once technical problems begin preventing players from progressing naturally, they stop being small annoyances and become fundamental flaws. What makes this especially frustrating is that Arkham Origins genuinely has the foundations of a very good Batman game. The combat is enjoyable, Gotham is beautifully designed and the atmosphere perfectly captures Batman's darker side. Unfortunately, those strengths are constantly overshadowed by technical issues that repeatedly interrupt the experience and eventually prevent the game from functioning as intended. Compared with every other Arkham game I played, Origins was the only entry where technical problems actively interfered with the campaign. Arkham Asylum feels more dated, Arkham City has its own shortcomings, and Arkham Knight certainly isn't perfect, but none of them prevented me from progressing through the story or forced me to rely on external sources just to continue playing. That difference is significant because technical quality should support the gameplay, not constantly work against it. Batman: Arkham Origins had everything it needed to become one of the strongest entries in the franchise. Instead, it is held back by an unusual amount of technical problems that range from immersion-breaking bugs to progression-blocking issues. No matter how enjoyable the combat, atmosphere or visuals are, I cannot recommend a game that ultimately failed to let me continue the main campaign without relying on external help. Arkham City'den sonra Origins'i oynayıp oynamayacağım konusunda kararsızlığım vardı. Batman'in joker ile ilk tanışmasına şahit oluyoruz.
