PLAY IT!!! This game is better then the other games so big 10!
I recommend this if only as a distraction. It's a game of constant noise. The plot is paper thin but the fighting is fun and it's nice to hear the old voice actors back. The Catwoman sections feel like a bit of a slog as they were originally just DLC. It's a sea of icons and tasks to do to make sure you don't resell your ps3 copy back to gamestop in three days back in the early 2010s. It is grotesque in a way that could only look good in the Xbox 360 era.
Best frickin game to ever exist
as good as I remember also the best in the Arkham series
An urban planner, a city architect, and the prison warden for the criminally insane walk into a bar.... and you are Batman.
Good: ‣ The story is better than Asylum imo, but it has bad pacing. Expecting Batman to fight so many villains in such a short span feels like too much, and it loses its focus. Even with that, I still found the story and side stories pretty entertaining. ‣ Most characters are interesting, and compared to Asylum, I think Batman doesn't feel boring or flat. His personality and ideals are shown more through his actions, speech, and remarks. ‣ Maintains the "dark & gritty" art direction from the prequel and looks a little more pleasing. ‣ Multiple playable characters with unique combat sets (Batman, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing). ^ Fun combat overall ‣ Has NG+. ‣ New costumes after finishing the main story. Mixed: ‣ The last boss fight in the main story was quite lame and boring. ‣ Bigger map and easy to learn, but it has a really weird shape. ‣ Lots of gadgets to use, but they don't feel intuitive to use and access. ‣ Stealth feels really repetitive and makes it easy. Either go behind/above/under. Bad: ‣ Sometimes crashes when alt-tabbing. ‣ Sometimes tedious side quests (gameplay wise, story wise most of them were pretty good). Go there, scan that, follow that, wait, etc. ‣ Lots of collectible items. ‣ Augment Reality Training: Failed. Conclusion: With all this said, i found Batman Arkham City to be better than Asylium, but as it's separate thing it's not a masterpiece or a hidden gem, it's just a decent game with plenty of content, but it's not something I'd recommend paying full price for especially when it goes in sale quite frequently.
