This is a fun retro style roguelike with layered game mechanics. It looks like a straightforward game at first but don't let the graphics deceive you - this game will kick your ass and then some. The learning curve is steep (as with any roguelikes) but given time and perseverance, you can master this game, and when you do, you can conquer every challenge that it can offer.

we need to fix this problem, everyone just leaves public lobbies while playing cause they died, like just wait 2 minutes for the other people to make it to next floor and ur back, its really easy unless you have the attention span of a hyperactive toddler.

I wanted to wait until I had at least beaten the game once before I put a review, This game is brilliant but it is exceptionally brutal, I have often had what I thought was a build I could take all the way only to find either a glaring weakness or one dumb decision being the death of me. With that being said this game feels incredibly rewarding to learn and when you get strong you have an amazing power fantasy, just don't get complacent!

Really fun game to play with your friends (although the runs can drag quite a bit), wouldn't really recommend for solo play

Great game, a solid 9/10 experience. Definitely wait until it’s on sale, or find a discount somewhere. Definitely a lot more fun with friends, but if you are a big fun of old school dungeon crawlers, solo will be fun too. If you enjoy Minecraft, DND, RuneScape, or the older Elder Scrolls games then I think it’s worth a try! I bought the DLC, but I wish there were a few other race options for the base game. Having them all locked behind DLC doesn’t really give newer players a chance to experiment with different builds. If they don’t want to spend resources on making free races, they could even just include one race from each DLC pack for free.
