I wish Don't nod could forget their passion for the massive map without convenient transport and sluggish combat system. It would be definitely better when they just focus on the plot and character
Banishers feels like a classical AA-production. Not perfectly polished but with great storytelling in an innovative setting. Overall, I liked it, even though it needed some time to really get into the game as combat is pretty clunky especially in the early stages of the game. It get's more fun later on but combat is not a particular strength of Banishers, especially given that there is only a small variety of enemies. Voice acting is fantastic, the relationship between Red and Antea is a fine told story that evolves throughout the game. I did not really get into side quests that much, even though some haunting cases are pretty interesting but the game involves lots of walking, even though it's a pretty linear world and there is not much to explore, as equipment is not that crucial. Overall, it's not a game for everyone and you have to live with some flaws like the annoying "remove the Ivy" game that especially at the finale kind of disturbs the flow of the game. If you are looking for a storydriven game in a not overly used setting, Banishers might be a good choice. Even though it's an entirely different story and setting, it sometimes reminded me of Greedfall, also not too well polished but a good and interesting game.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
was a pretty good game, a lot bigger than i thought it would be. good storyline, good quests. plenty of loot to find. a bit on the man hating side though, IMO. Good combat, switching between two different fight styles and specials. Working them to solve puzzles too.
Gameplay is fun, games looks great, story that I managed to get through seems enjoyable enough. Unfortunately the game has some sort of bug that I could not find a reasonable fix for. regardless of settings with it on an SSD 32gig ram, Geforce 3080 12g even on the lowest settings this game could only be played for about an hour and a half in a single sitting before it would be consuming 85-95% of my CPU and available RAM and performance would collapse into laggy broken and unplayable. The only solution that I could find that worked was hard quitting the game waiting for everything to calm down and then re-launching. The annoyance of having to play in short spurts is simply not worth it.
Life to the living, Death to the dead
This game is really interesting in the story and gameplay. The main characters are awesome. I especially love that I get to play as Antea.
