I got 6th on the world leaderboard, are you proud of me?
This game is just bananas, bros. This game really reminds me of a game on a phone, it's almost the same but a ninja, kinda kewl. I would 100% play this game once more if i find myself bored. This is the type of game that lets you spend time. Like in school or something haha, sorry. Music: I kinda like it actually, i've heard 3 different soundtracks so far, not sure if they are more but I like them! Maybe you should add a few more, it seems like you guy are good at it. The music really fits the style of the game and I like it, great job on that. Gameplay: Since I got no friends, I had to play alone and it's fun. I have tried to beat my score a few times. The main reason kept playing for a bit is to try to get higher on the leaderboards, gave up at 6th, but it was worth it! Since I saw the leaderbaord I had the urge to play more and try to the best of my abilities. Something that I'm not too sure of: I don't know the game was designed to do this, but sometimes the screen would glitch out. The gme does that from time to time, a small jump to a random frame which is fine. But the glitching i'm talking about it when i start the game, there are many other screens popping up, like the menu, settings, etc. It has happened only sometimes, not every single game I played. It is a bit annoying because the game itself gets glitched even more. Like the bugs and coconuts jump back in time, have caused a death once or twice. Suggestions that I have: 1. Again, more music, would be great. 2. Maybe make the game speed up as time goes on, it seems like everything keeps the same speed for the entire time. 3. Maybe add death music or a small animation of the monkey falling down after getting hit. It just ends on a game over and sends you back to the menu. 4. I'm not sure if this is a thing already, not that i've noticed. But in the 2player mode, the second player can use the arrow keys. I think there should be a way of using the arrow keys in 1player mode, people like me prefer arrow keys. Maybe allow to change that in the settings. I feel like this game can do well in the future. I can see people enjoying this in certain times, it's really not bad of a game if you want to spend time. If you set goals for yourself like getting high on the leaderboard, this game can be pretty entertaining. This game is the perfect game for when you have nothing else better to do with your life and if you are an old school kid. Banano Bros is a small retro game where the main aim of the game is to reach a high score by travelling a far distance, collecting bananas and avoiding bugs. It also includes a VS mode, Singleplayer and LAN Co-op. Although it sounds like a far-fetched good game with friends, it is honestly not. The game gets repetitive and does not include much more than what i mentioned. You cannot get guns, powerups, extra lives or anything. It is pretty boring. And for a price of £1.69, it is far too expensive for such a small game. Therefore, I cannot recommend it unless it is on sale. _____________8__88_____8 ____________88_8__8_____8 ___________888_____88___88888 __________8888______88_8____88 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______8_______8 _________8888_____8_______8 __________88888____8______8 ___________8888888______8 __888_________88888_8 8888888________88_____ _8888888_______8_____ __888888_______88_____ ___88_____8_____8_____ ____8______8____8_____8_88 _______8888_8__88_8_88888 _____888888_8_88__8888888 ____8888888__88______88888 ____88888_____8_________888 ____88_________8__________8 _____8_________8_____ _______________8_____ ____________8_8_____ _____________88_8_____ ______________88_____ ______________8_____
TL;DR people look at the bottom. Wow. Just wow. Where do I begin? The graphics remind me of a good old mario game and they aren't too shabby while looking at it. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it's simple enough that even someone like me who doesn't have the best of time at hand can see that it wouldn't take too hard to learn the controls. I will admit though, the controls had me weirded out at first. For one, I forgot to check the controls and there is no in-game tutorial or anything to point you to it, I can just start the game without the controls beforehand. After I read the controls, I realized a few things weren't put in. One of these is the down key and up key functions. While this isn't a bad thing in games like these where it is simple, I found out the hard way that down keeps your jumping to a minimum or equal to where you first were when you hit the key while the up key used in the air propels me downward. I wish these were explained as it made me die quite a few times. Another thing I can say is to put the singleplayer and multiplayer controls differently. For example, if I was playing singleplayer, I wouldn't want to be able to use my banana button (The one that gives you a banana on your character in multiplayer) as it isn't stated that this is a multiplayer only function as far as I know. The obstacles you face are also not stated, but I can forgive that for this game. I would like to state though that I wish it had stated these enemies as a certain beetle with a glowing color can home in on you and coconuts may randomly fall from the sky. An in game tutorial or something of the like would of really helped figure out how to play this game efficiently. I found out that going for 5 bananos instead of the singular ones is much better as it obtains your super status much faster. The super status on its own is another game. It's like you were playing Command and Conquer with how you have to be careful with every move, but then suddenly you turn into Godzilla and rampage the whole jungle. You kill everything in this mode, even the flying beetles! It lasts for a good while and you'd have obtained at least 10 bananos in total before it's truly gone. It's an awesome powerup and I recommend that they make a game mode for it where you try to destory as much stuff as possible in a time limit or against a friend. I did find one thing interesting though about this powerup. If you collect a banana while on a vine and your super activates from this banana, you can actually get stuck on the invisble vine. Yes, I said it. Invisible vine. I assume this is because you were already on the vine, but because you might not be able to go up or down and don't hit left or right in time, you could actually die. I didn't test it myself because I was worried, but it's weird that it happens in the first place. The soundtrack is quite interesting. I don't mind the songs during gameplay, but they aren't something I would listen outside it. It works for what it is. It's also very addictive, so be careful playing it as you might end up with a few hours in total. I'll be back to accomplish the few achievements I don't have, the exception being that secret I don't know how to get, but I think I can safely judge it after only a half an hour of gameplay. Pros: -The game is simple and easy to control for the most part. I've had only slight issues while playing. -Hardly any bugs, but there was that one weird thing that happened. It was a vine glitch, but it hardly detracts from the total as it doesn't happen frequently. -Graphics are easy to look at and pleasing to the eye. Never had any trouble discerning certain things, but the beetle with a homing attack was a little hard to see at first. -Gameplay is addictive, but challenging. It requires you to use patience until you get your super power. When you get your super power, make them pay for all the suffering! Cons: -The monkey has a weird kind of control because, for the most part, your character always jumps up diagonally. I think this is fine, but it caught me off guard while I was beginning to play. -The monkey is not fast enough while he is normal, but is almost too quick when being in a super. I guess it's not so slow as you can dodge certain things, but for the most part, if something is about 3 inches of space between you and you aren't already going down, you are practically dead. The super isn't too quick, but I figured out that while he isn't fast enough to catch up to certain objects, he might get you killed if you aren't suited with the controls and it's frames of invulnerability. -1 life only. No continues, no respawns. Just 1 life. This is unfortunate as the game does give you an extra player and thus an extra life in 2 player, but I would like more than 1 life at least for a beginner in the single-player mode. Usually, there's at least a default of 3 lives. That way, if you do die, you can restart with only a little damper on your abilities. I feel it would help newer people and older ones to be more comfortable. Overall: I'd give it a solid 5/10 or 6/10. Comments: The game is addictive. You can start thinking that you won't play long on this game, but believe me, I played for a lot longer than I expected. The game is simple enough to control, however; it does suffer from some flaws. For example, no in-game tutorial or the like means you'll have to learn the hard way how to figure out what direction you want to play the game in. Are you the greedy type that wants all the bananas or the patience type to only get certain bananas? Even with these flaws, I found out that it wasn't too hard to overlook them as the game itself is quite enjoyable. It feels good collecting a lot of bananas and so many of them allows you to go Godzilla form and wreck havoc on the entire jungle. Do be careful, though, you might end up dieing if you let yourself get too close to the beetles or other objects while in your last frames. I'd said it's an average game. It's good to play for a few or so hours, but it doesn't offer a lot that you could get from other games. A new mode, which I will dub thee Super Mode, would probably make the game more enjoyable as I preferred the craziness of defeating everything in sight to waiting for the next banana to come onto screen. Thank you and good night.
Introduzione

Pro

Riporta la memoria agli anni '80
Divertente anche se basilare
Modalità co-op e 1v1
Contro

L'audio rimane troppo alto

Voto Finale
Toxic's Vote: ★★★★✰
This review was submitted for Gaming Until End, through the generous contribution of HellCow.

Fun Arcade Game To Play With Friends
Banano Bros is a indie Arcade Style Platformer Game where you jump from one side of the level to the other side. In this you collect bananas and climb up the level. You can also compete with your friends and see which one can climb the highest. While i will not say this is the best game for its price it is certainly a fun game. In the next section of this review I will show the pros and cons of this game ,but before that i must say i have not been payed/told to make a positive review of this game, the only thing that has been said to me is the name of the game the key. Pros
Controller Support
Local Multiplayer
Small Download
Almost anything can run it
Good Soundtrack
Steam Achievements Natural (things just to take into consideration about the game)
Indie
New Game
First Game from developer Cons
A few Bugs (very few 3-4 that i have found)
Very Repetitive
Only one level
RNG Can cause some unavoidable deaths I Personally rate it 7/10 there is somethings that could be added like more levels and more characters(only 2) and some of the bugs that should of been fixed before launch
This review was submitted for Gaming Until End, through the generous contribution of HellCow.
