this is absouloute mayhem especially beating "The One That Got Away" but still fun
This is surprisingly fun for a free game and you should try it if you like souls or metroidvania combat

The fish game took my fish wife......... would fish again
I'm honestly surprised this game is free. The boss fights are fun, the music is awesome, and there's FISHING!!! What more can you ask for?
Simple controls that are used in a deceptively complex way. The core gameplay loop is entertaining and the bosses actually become quite challenging, especially if you are seeking the coveted 5-star rating. Dev team has been very responsive and generally friendly when asking questions or giving feedback. For the low asking price of zero dollars, this is an easy recommendation.
FISH FISH FISH FISH FISH FISH
Great concept for a game! Love the art style. Thought the mechanic of launching yourself and attacking purely with a fishing rod was a really unique take on an otherwise overdone fishing rod mechanic! Would love to see more of this game.
as other reviewers mentioned, the game does not save your progress at all. continue button simply does not function, so you have to redo the tutorial every single time you launch the game. dash attack took way too many attempts, instructions are unclear and this essential mechanic for the game is just not finished, but i need to do it to pass an invisible wall. tutorial and UI have a lot of pet peeves. every pc game in the entirety of the world should allow you to close menus with the esc key, but this game freezes up trying to get me to click a tiny box that is not relevant to gameplay at all, no inputs whatsoever will proceed besides checking that box. tutorial is a big deal, you really need to avoid interrupting the pacing, and this interrupted it so poorly and so early on that i did not keep playing. i do not need to be forced to click every button in the UI to proceed when there is very little going on that isn't self explanatory. .6 hours are only because i left the game idling just so that i could have enough time to write a review. as a pet project i can respect if someone made this and just wasnt able to get it working properly, but if i paid money i would be reporting it as a scam.
