The game kinda good but with unresponsive and buggy controls.
um jogo fofo com gráficos legais sobre uma raposa caçando e explorando uma floresta, mas pouco intuitivo e muito complexo em seus objetivos. 7/10
The game "Auf Abwegen" is a 2D game where you play as a fox. You wander around the forest and feed your family. Later in this game is a running sequence wich is really hard and after I finished it I thought my spacebar wouldnt work anymore. But you see my spacebar is still working. This game also has dark lore that i couldnt concentred on but I didnt care either. If this game is not enough you can also try the challenge mode and do all the achievements. Personally I really liked was the artstyle and the concept and would recommend

Nice idea but i stuck very early. Controls and level design are poor. Such a pity.
i like this game a lot, i played it for like idk how many years ago and couldn't find it until now, its a wonder its still here but anyways, this game was one of my childhood games even tho the end maked me sad, it's still a good game even if its a german indie game (i'm german myself) the challange mode is also nice trying to break my own pb and such trying to get the last 2 achievements. But anyways, this game was one of my memories that was stuck in my head for too long i just love it that much
Nice way to wait for a game to install. just play this game while your waiting
I'm sure there is a good story but I just can't play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. 1)It defaults to whatever resolution it wants, not respecting mine. Which means: all subtitles are FAR BELOW the screen, making me unable to understand ♥♥♥♥ (doesn't help that the whole game is dubbed in german). 2)The awful controls. 9/10 times it just refuses to register a jump, if you're sprinting. The controller vibration gets annoying, too. It's as if something is overheating. Pressure on the pad keeps going further and further. 3)Even if I decide that I don't want to play the story and try out arcade mode another issue appears: I just cannot hunt ♥♥♥♥. Story never teaches you how, to begin with and I already roamed around the entire areas that are unlocked to me, at the time. And how do I know that, despite not being able to read any subtitle? Because the "press X button to do Y" hints appears in the middle of the screen, usually after a conversation. The artstyle and the soundtrack are pretty well done but, given all the issues above, it's literally impossible to play. What a shame. EDIT: Okay I managed to finish it. I had to force the .exe into a godawful resolution (640xwhatever), for starters. All the dialogue is just a bunch of nonsense. SPOILER: You're playing as someone that is playing a game. Shouldn't even exist, to begin with. Game should've been only the arcade mode that tells you the story of the fox by the player's pov. Regardless, hunting is simple but just too hard. I had to look for a damn guide. Just jump over everything with the perfect timing. Don't play challenge mode. Ain't worth it. You WILL get a terrible time and a terrible score just because of the hunting part alone. The second level ain't so bad, trial and error-wise, but the first one requires lots of patience. Cool game, overall. Sad. But that's life. A struggle. But the gameplay is just terrible. EDIT 2: I changed my review from negative to positive. Arcade mode was way easier than story and challenge, for some reason. The movement wasn't strict nor it required perfect timing. Maybe I got the hang of it or it's, indeed, supposed to be easier.
It's a beautiful game but bad because of the terrible response of the controls
simple and beautiful
This game is a challenge, but I loved it.
