AstronTycoon

a little hard to get on the feet but its pretty fun

"AstronTycoon" seems like a different twist on the "tycoon" genre but with a search for exoplanets vibe... but ultimately the reality is quite different... it's more like a clicker/incrementer as you build more telescopes to increase your "science"... and the whole thing could have been done in a web browser. This game fails to deliver on a welcome promise, and instead is just giving "banana" a run for it's money in terms of non-gameitude. Where it does differ from other incrementers is a more concrete feeling "end-game" which you reach very quickly, and if one of the best things you can say about a game is that there's not very much of it, you can see we have a problem. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $18 USD for this. That's right, this is not a joke, the developer genuinely thought this was worth EIGHTEEN BUCKS. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Экономическая составляющая игры довольно глубока, требующая планирования, учета ресурсов и логистики. Интерфейс интуитивно понятен, что делает игровой процесс приятным и ненавязчивым. Особенно захватывает исследования новых технологий, которые открывают доступ к более эффективным методам добычи, новым кораблям и возможностям расширения. Приятно удивила система случайных событий, добавляющая элемент непредсказуемости и заставляющая адаптироваться к меняющимся обстоятельствам. Однако, хотелось бы больше разнообразия в типах космических станций и доступных ресурсах. Иногда игра может показаться слегка монотонной, особенно на поздних этапах, когда большая часть автоматизирована. Но в целом, 'AstronTycoon' – это отличная игра для любителей экономических стратегий и космической тематики, способная подарить множество часов увлекательного геймплея. Рекомендую!
