Witzige Simulation mit netten Bildern und originellen Texten. Die Charaktere sind ansprechend gezeichnet. Lustiges Spiel für zwischendurch, auch wenn man auf Animationen verzichtet hat.

I was a tester for this game and got a free key out of it, so I might be biased... or not Gastronomic Date is a dating sim featuring girls from all games the author ever created, well most of them anyway. If you played and enjoyed those games at some point then this game is a great chance to better explore your favorite characters and their personalities - many of them did not get enough love in their respective games, like Medina from Snares of Ruin series. The game's strength is also its weakness - if you never played other Gastronomic games or only played the more recent ones you might feel somewhat alienated to the characters and the setting as some of the context can be lost on you. The dates are fairly short and straight to the point, the game is self-conscious and does not overstay its welcome. The dialogues are pretty good, the characters and their motivations are interesting to figure out even though they're mostly an archetype. The situations and scenes are diverse, with some more traditional like chilling at the bar and some more action intense. The author tried to make sure the activities are characteristic of the girls themselves. There is some mild sexual content, but it's nowhere near adult VNs like Being a ♥♥♥ - here the focus is mostly on fantasy themes like talking to women. TL;DR Get it if you're a fan of the other games and couldn't get enough of the characters - might as well give it a pass otherwise.

This game more or less is about you picking what girl you would like to be dating and go through the choices to see if you have a good out come or a bad one. You can only date one girl at a time and you get the choices to choose from the classes of girls going from easy, medium and hard the each group has 4 different choice of girl you can date. Nudity and sex on the other hand is ok but you will be able to see the girl mostly naked minus when you have sex with her. Sex scenes aren't really there just cause when it does come time for you to have sex you are only able to see from the waist up. You will not see any penetration in this game play. Each girl will only take about 10-20 of time or less to complete the goal to have a successful date or not. Is it wroth $4.99 I would say that's a 50/50 for the price of this game.

[b]NOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY THIS: The developer of this game accidentally forgot to delete the persistent save file from the build before shipping the game, so as of the time of writing (July 3, 2023), the skip unread text toggle doesn't work (all text is considered read even on your first playthrough). If you haven't opened the game yet, you can fix this on the player end by deleting the "persistent" file from C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Astronomic Date/game/saves. If you [i]have[/i] opened the game, you will [i]also[/i] have to delete the same file in C:/Users/[your PC name here]/AppData/Roaming/RenPy/AstronomicDate-1665522674. (This is on Windows. I don't know how Ren'Py saves work on other OSes, sorry.) Astronomic Date is a visual novel collection of dates that the nameable male MC can go on with various women. The women you can choose from are all from other games by the developer...none of which I've played. The dev says you don't need to be familiar with those games to play this, and I can kind of understand why they would say this considering the complete lack of plot here, but I still felt like this game is pure fanservice—not in the sense of sex (although, yes, that too), but in the sense of being best enjoyed by people who are already familiar with these characters. I have no idea who any of these girls are, and while the selection menu does give you a quick overview of their personality, it's still kinda...whatever. They're also from different settings (modern day, sci-fi, fantasy), which could be kind of jarring if you're playing as the same guy in all of them. The dates are divided into three difficulty levels, "Easy," "Advanced," and "Tough," with each difficulty level having 5 different women to choose from for 15 total. The easy dates are...well, easy. I succeeded on all of them on my first try. The others you'll be more likely to get a bad ending (which here usually just means "you don't have sex"), but regardless, this isn't actually a very difficult game, especially considering how short each route is. The visuals mostly seemed fine for what they are? They're not uncanny valley, which is the biggest problem these games have. But some of the scenes are a bit poorly lit (and it's not always in situations where that makes sense), so it's hard to actually see what's going on. The writing here is really stilted...for something like this, pure fluff whose purpose is to entertain the reader and make them feel good, it's absolutely essential to have natural-sounding, entertaining dialogue—but instead things just sound slightly off a lot of the time. The characters speak in ways that usually make complete sense, but just don't sound like something an idiomatic English speaker would say. So basically, instead of having visual uncanny valley, we've got textual uncanny valley. The NSFW scenes are all softcore. I'm not sure what the market is for softcore prerendered 3D BxG pure fluff VNs, but if you're that market, well, here you go. So ultimately this game gets a thorough "meh" from me. If you like the developer's other games, you might enjoy this too. But as someone who's not already a fan, this doesn't make me want to check out more.

Boring. You have 15 very short stories, each around 5-10 minutes, probably even shorter. Sometimes game gives you 2-4 choices out of which usually there are "good" and "bad" ones. If you pick "good" one you get points with girl, if you pick "bad" one you lose them or just don't get them. It's easy to pick the right option because it's always the most boring "good guy" thing to say. At the end of every story there is a check whether you have enough points and if you do the girl strips and you have behind the screen sex. Yes, technically there is sex in game, but it is made mostly off-screen, so if you're here for the "adult" part - you'll probably be dissapointed. The problems is that developer thought that they can create 15 different and interesting characters. But all girls talk like they have same personality and their dialogues were written by AI. There is no chemistry between MC and the girl, you just make a boring small talk and gently complimenting each other. The dialogues are sometimes ridiculously silly and cringy: "<character_name>, do you think I'm very beautiful and attractive?" "I want you right this moment, my dear <character_name>." "Want me to undress fully too? Want me to share my body with you?" "Feels great to have your mighty hands undress me." Who the ♥♥♥♥ talks like that? They talk like robots trying to imitate arousal.
